Just watched the video of the Victory Party. Brought tears to my eyes all over again. That period between 10:00 and midnight seemed endless. When the vote shifted it was just incredible seeing Webb with 50% and Allen with
49%. I am so glad I got pictures of this happening. All eyes are on Virginia. To everyone out there who worked so hard to make this happen thanks so much for all of your efforts. The citizens of Virginia have spoken and now we have Senator Jim Webb representing all of us. We are so so

.....I was in the ballroom too but left at 10:15 am.. I had school to teach. I was online watching the state election website at the press stands there in the ballroom. When I left Webb was down by 18,000 and almost all Dem leaning precincts were in. I went home depressed.....I didn't here any good news on the radio on the way home, and I heard none when I got in bed at 11:15.
I thought the thing was lost. I went to sleep grumpy. I woke up grumpy. Then, my Republican voting (but Webb supporting) brother called and said "it looks like your guy has pulled it off. It looks like Webb has won." ARE YOU SHITTING ME? ARE YOU SERIOUS? ARE YOU SHITTING ME? NO WAY!!!!
Talk about a mood lifter. I have been stoked all day. I am so pleased!!!!!!!! No one is more so than me.

The room was tense throughout a lot of the night and many people couldn't stay until the news changed, but the explosion of joy in the room when Webb pulled ahead was something I'll never forget. From the beginning, way back when, there has never been a dull moment in this campaign. This has been a journey filled with intense passion.
