Webb/Allen Computerized Predictor

I've created an automated predictor to add the remaining votes to each candidate depending on how voters have voted in each precinct. It pulls data directly from the SBE, it then multiplies the vote percentages TIMES the votes cast TIMES the remaining precincts.

Then it adds the predicted votes to the each candidates current votes.

In a nutshell.... it's easier to read than the SBE page!

I got a real job. Well kinda. I do the same mad mad shit, but now i get paid a boatload of money to do it. But it eats up all my time.

I couldn't sleep so i had to occupy my mind. Sorry i didn't help as much on this race as with Kaine.

Just wondering ... (loboforestal - 11/8/2006 3:50:10 AM)

The race still isn't over (Steve Nelson - 11/8/2006 3:12:19 AM)
According to my predictor Webb is ahead by 7815 but there are still 9783 remaining votes.

Even though Webb looks like he'll win 5039 of those votes, it's still not over!

It's done (loboforestal - 11/8/2006 3:44:58 AM)
Allen needs 80% of those votes
If he did, Allen would get 7826 more and Webb would get 1957.
Not going to happen.

Almost done (Steve Nelson - 11/8/2006 3:43:12 AM)
There are now only 8431 remaining votes. Webb is ahead by 8009 and he's predicted to get 4403 more! wooooooo!

nah nah nah! nah nah nah! hey hey hey good bye!

OFFICIALLY OVER! (according to me!) (Steve Nelson - 11/8/2006 4:10:09 AM)
According to me this race is officially over!

Webb is up 7748 votes and according to the SBE data there are only 7686 votes left uncounted!

Question (PM - 11/8/2006 8:55:55 AM)
Are you, or were you, an FTC economist?

hahahaha (Steve Nelson - 11/8/2006 9:56:28 AM)
I don't even know what an FTC economist does! I'm just your run of the mill programmer. And like everyone else i couldn't sleep. So i just started tinkering with the numbers to try and occupy my time.

To tell you the truth, i'm a little confused why my numbers weren't more accurate. That is probably going to occupy my brain all day. But who cares! We won!
