Video from Tonight's Webb for Senate Rally

I recorded the speeches at Jim Webb's campaign finale this evening on my camcorder. Admittedly, the quality isn't perfect, but the speeches, and the crowd, were extraordinary. Jim's speech was great, and I was particularly moved by Bob Kerrey's observation about needing more members of congress who have a personal stake in our military -- in the men and women we've sent into harm's way. Bill Clinton lightened it up at the end with some hard-hitting comic relief.

Jim Webb

Bill Clinton - Part 1

Bill Clinton - Part 2

More on the flip.
Mark Warner

Tim Kaine

Bob Kerrey

Note: The original order was Warner, Kaine, Webb, Kerrey, and Clinton. With so many heavy-hitters on the stage this evening, though, I wanted to put Jim Webb at the top, and Clinton on the front page.

Yeah, it's amateur video... (Greg - 11/6/2006 11:04:35 PM)
... and I've got arm-muscle cramps to prove it! :)

Get some sleep. (loboforestal - 11/6/2006 11:37:36 PM)
We got a long day tomorrow!

Latest tradesports.com VA Senate futures is Webb $55 and Allen $47.

It's very close and getting some extra voters to the polls could be the difference.

GO WEBB!!!

CNN (DanG - 11/6/2006 11:38:51 PM)
CNN reporting that there were 5-6000 people there!  God, I wish I could've come.  Compare that with Allen's big 250 people rally, and we see who has the momentum.

All about turnout... (Greg - 11/6/2006 11:51:05 PM)
... at this point.

I became a lot more optimistic once I saw the difference in turnout this evening.

Off to sleep, and then working metro stations and my precinct tomorrow.

Wow! (Ingrid - 11/6/2006 11:57:54 PM)
I guess I lost count. I suggested to Judy Feder that there were 2,012 people there... :-)  After the rally, we went for coffee on the corner of Washington and King Streets. People stopped us and asked "Was Bill REALLY here?"  And then "Are you twins?"  We said "Yes, Twins for Webb. Please vote for him!"

The Big Dog was excellent!! (lwumom - 11/7/2006 12:36:30 AM)
How I miss an INTELLIGENT President!  The audio was great....every word was strong and to the point.  WE NEED A CHANGE!
