Three new polls show the Democratic advantage over the GOP slipping among like voters. A USA TODAY-Gallup poll out Sunday night shows Democrats still ahead 51-44 in the generic vote, but that compares with an 11% edge two weeks ago.
  The USA Today piece analyzing the polls says: "What's shifted is the determination of Republicans to vote. The Democratic advantage among registered voters was 11 points, but Republican voters were more likely to be judged as sure to go to the polls, making the edge among likely voters smaller."
  The answer: Work harder to get out our voters. We need to catch the GOP at persuading Democrats to vote. There's plenty to do between now and 7 p.m. Tuesday when the polls close.
  Try phone banking. We're making short, easy calls to previously identified Webb voters reminding them to vote. There's probably no more important activity you can do between now an Election Day. If our voters vote, we win. If they stay home, George Allen wins.
