James Webb on Fighting Bullies

GÇ£At an early age my father laid out the eternal ground rules for streetfighting:  Never start a fight, but never run away, even if you know you are going to lose.  If you run, youGÇÖll still be running tomorrow.  And if you fight, win or lose, a bully wonGÇÖt come back.  And whomever you fight, you must make them pay.  You must always mark them, so that the next day they have to face the world with a black eye or a cut lip or a bruised cheek and remember where they got it.GÇ¥  Born Fighting, James H. Webb

That is why we fight.  George Allen will never be able to swagger around the Commonwealth or the Nation again GÇô he has been marked.  He bears the ugly tat of the Bully.  Now it is left to good Virginians to make certain that he no longer represents us before the Nation.

Reject fear, vote for a real leader on Tuesday November 7th. Vote for Jim Webb.

And what happens when you confront bullies? (PM - 11/5/2006 12:57:19 PM)

From the Fredericksburg Free Lance-Star newspaper, of all places, commenting on Allen's unwillingness to face reporters:

Allen is beloved by stalwart Republicans, a veteran of Virginia politics, an ebullient campaigner, but he's also a target, a wounded candidate whose rallies now attract protestors and who is fast learning the fast dash to a waiting vehicle to escape uncomfortable questions.

Allen has his old swagger in front of Republican audiences, but with reporters he's become skittish, ready to hustle to his car if someone asks a question he doesn't want to answer.

The crowd at the Augusta County airport (Bubby - 11/5/2006 1:10:26 PM)
Were insane. Totally out of their minds with fear and hate. A leaderless rabble. What an embarrassment this Allen campaign has become.
