George Allen Threatened Virginians

This video clip includes George Allen addressing the Virginia Republican Convention in 1994 saying: "Let's enjoy knocking their soft teeth down their whiny throats." George Allen was talking about the people of Virginia.  He was talking about you.  You can see the viciousness in his eyes and hear it in his voice.  This is the George Allen that put a deer head in the mailbox of an African American family, dragged his sister around by her hair, uses the "n" word casually and yelled "Macaca" earlier this year. This guy has to go.

Ann Coulter may face jail time for not voting in the right place
West Palm Beach, Florida - Controversial political pundit Ann Coulter is being investigated for possibly voting in the wrong precinct last February.

That's a felony that carries up to five years behind bars.

The head election official in Palm Beach County says officials have sent coulter four letters since March, asking her to clarify her address.

But he says Coulter won't respond, so he plans to turn the case over to prosecutors.

Coulter's lawyer and publicist didn't return calls for comment.

I saw that earlier as well... (Eric - 11/2/2006 12:46:25 PM)
So much for all these Republicans and their tough stance on crime.

Or, more to their liking, crimes only count if someone else, preferably a Democrat, commits it.

What part of illegal don't they understand?  Apparently most parts...

That would be true justice (Todd Smyth - 11/2/2006 12:52:22 PM)
Ann Coulter in jail would make the whole world a more liveable place.

Coulter (libra - 11/3/2006 1:11:28 AM)
Yeah, I saw it too (though from a different source). What I don't understand is this: how was she *permitted* to vote in a wrong precinct, when so many people aren't allowed to vote in the *right* ones (if one's to believe the press)?

And... Did she vote in the wrong precinct only, or in the wrong one *and* the right one?

And... Where were the poll workers? Out to lunch? They're supposed to check that people are voting where they're  supposed to, and send them on to the correct precinct... No?

Every time I come to vote, there are two people with a book, full of names (and an observer behind each duo). They ask to see my ID, they find my name in the book, they ask me to say my full name out loud. I do, and, because I know them (it's a small town), I always say "now *you* do it". They roll their eyes (try pronouncing Przybyl, which is my maiden name ), accept my version as correct, tell me I'm late (my husband has been there 2 hrs before me) hand me the number, and I proceed to the voting booth.

So, how did Coulter manage to vote in a wrong precinct???

Much as I hate Coulter and all she stands for, I have to wonder why all responsibility for casting a vote in the wrong precinct is supposed to be the onus of the voter only. especially given that -- the last couple of electoral cycles -- we've heard of people (usuall Dems) being misdirected on purpose...

Allen (seamusotoole - 11/2/2006 12:34:10 PM)
I sure wish that could air between now and next Tuesday all over the state of Virginia.  We'd love for him to live in Iowa and leave this state alone.  He's done enough damage to the state of Virginia and has given us a terrible image.
His latest fiasco in Charlottesville is unbelievable.

Boy he really is ugly. (thegools - 11/2/2006 6:50:47 PM)
I had never seen the "soft teeth" video.  I can't believe a sitting governor said that.  That is just mean and ugly.

What an ass.

1993 Convention (vabeachbill - 11/2/2006 8:48:49 PM)
That just reminded me of something. Wasn't it just the year before that Allen was very silent while anti-semitic comments were being hurled at Bobbie Kilberg during the Virginia Republican Convention? I think she was running for the Lt. Governor nomination.
