Great Rally in Annandale With Warner and Kaine

A large, vocal cheering crowd.  It was great.  Lots of enthusiasm.  Mark Warner and Tim Kaine were terrific but Jim stole the show.  He talked in no-nonsense terms about the book issue, going through each title and reading their endorsements--which came from all sides of the political spectrum.  He got many many loud cheers from the crowd, including when he remarked that someone told him "he he had written more books than George Allen had read--or maybe it was that other George".

Lots of signs (Muslim-Americans For Webb; Jewish-Americans For Webb; Women For Webb (my sign).  Also a great poster with a picture of Webb with the caption "Vote For Hope" and a picture of Allen with the caption "Not Fear".

A really great event.

I also saw (Catzmaw - 10/28/2006 5:17:08 PM)
an Irish for Webb sign (yay), Veterans for Webb, Asian Americans for Webb, Korean-Americans for Webb, Vietnamese-Americans for Webb, 2 African-Americans for Webb signs.  A very large, raucous crowd.  One man in a Veterans for Webb shirt told Jim Webb that the shirt wasn't coming off until he won the election.  He did allow as how he might wash it every night (hee).  I saw quite a few Veterans for Webb stickers on the older guys in the room.  These may be folks who might have previously voted Republican, but who showed strong support to Jim Webb today.  My first rally and it was a lot of fun.
