Just walked a conservative-leaning area, where the records show only certain homes house Democrats or independents. While most folks were not at home on Saturday morning, of the few who were, over half claimed to be undecided, the rest were very enthusiastic Webb and were Democrat supporters, grimly determined to get to the polls in November. Interestingly, only one mentioned the infamous Allen attack on Jim's novels, glancingly saying it was completely ridiculous. Another sign that, at least in Northern Virginia, not only Democrats but also independents dismiss the ridiculous sex charges as desperate measures.  They wanted to talk about Iraq, health care, and other real issues.

But you missed one that I tried to get but could not get a good angle from where I was in the crowd.  On the right side of the crowd were two big signs right next to each other.  One said "Jewish-Americans for Webb" and the other "Muslim-Americans for Webb."

I think those two groups standing next to each other says a lot about the broad base of the Webb campaign.
