Matthews thinks the attack is scum (DanG - 10/27/2006 8:59:25 PM)
Matthews appears to think this is sleazy politics at it's worst.

Matthews is right. (Lowell - 10/27/2006 9:04:59 PM)
But is anyone surprised that this is what Dick Wad(hams), Chris LaSwiftboatVita and Scott "Kilgore Hitler Ads" Howell would come up with?

Jarding rocked on hardball! (drmontoya - 10/27/2006 9:02:41 PM)
I love how Matthews requested an Allen spokesperson and they didn't show.

They want to put a lot of crap out there and then put there hands up and say "let the voters decide"

cowards. I think every single on of allen's campaign staff needs to put a uniform and head to Iraq.

Since they think everything is going in the right direction.

I bet not one Allen staffer has ever served a day in a uniform.

Real men and women (Chris from ASL - 10/27/2006 10:38:56 PM)
stand behind their actions.  It looks like here we have a case of the wussy bully...throw a punch then run like a coward.  George (and company), that's not very Virginian.

Matthews was so eager (Catzmaw - 10/27/2006 10:21:08 PM)
to denounce the ads he hardly gave Jarding any opportunity to talk.  This stuff's going to redound very badly on Allen.

I suspect (mr science - 10/28/2006 12:17:42 AM)
this just may be what puts Webb over the top. It's like these people never got past reading the Hardy Boys and Harry Potter. The utter stupidity of it boggles the mind.

Harry Potter's way more sophisticated (Catzmaw - 10/28/2006 5:21:38 PM)
than these guys.  I can't understand how they would conclude this was a good idea, especially since there were conservative websites and commentators who advised them not to do it.

Northern Virginians think, wow! (mkfox - 10/28/2006 4:17:46 AM)
Thanks, Matthews, I was worried for a moment ::rolls eyes::

I do think Jarding is right. An ad this negative about a non-issue will certainly backfire and either keep Allen people home or convince undecideds how full of crap Allen is.
