Another point that is very interesting (lwumom - 10/26/2006 9:39:43 PM)
W says that the "benchmarks" for the Iraqi government do not amount to a "timetable", as the Democrats propose.  I'm very much into the meanings of words and for the record:
benchmark--a standard by which something can be measured or judged.
timetable--a schedule listing the times at which certain events are expected to take place.
Same difference.
How *very* Victorian (libra - 10/27/2006 1:03:57 AM)
of Rummy-dum-dum...
"You ought to just back off, take a look at it, relax, understand that it's complicated, it's difficult," Rumsfeld said,
IOW, "don't worry your little brain about matters beyound your comprehension; Papa will take care of it"
When your mindset is 100yrs out of whack, it' time to *go*...
The tap dance (Silver Fox - 10/27/2006 6:29:21 AM)
Hey, cut Rummy a break.  He's tap dancing as fast as he can but when the ground beneath you is crumbling rapidly your footwork is bound to get a bit (a lot) awkward.  It's no wonder he's testy.
