The Republican Party Today: Not a Pretty Picture

Now that the Republican Party is rapidly "cutting and running" from "stay the course" in Iraq, where does that leave them?  Here's my current read on the Republican Party:

*They are the big spending, big deficits, and fiscal irresponsibility party
*They are the corruption party (DeLay, Abramoff, Ney, Cunningham, Goode, et al.)
*They are the ANTI-reform party, refusing to take even the most minor measures to clean up the mess in Washington DC or to investigate waste, fraud and abuse in government contracting at a time of war.
*They are the "no sacrifice" party, which says we're in a fight for our survival yet calls for no sacrifice from the American people.
*They are the foreign policy incompetence party (North Korea, Iran, Iraq, Russia, relations with our allies...)
*They are the intrusion into our personal lives party (Terri Schiavo, legislating what we can do in our bedrooms between consenting adults)
*They are the anti-science party (embroynic stem cells, evolution, global warming, etc.)
*They are the anti-Constitution party (trampling on checks and balances, amending the Constitution to RESTRICT peoples' rights)
*They are the torture party that has disgraced the good name of America
*They are the fear party that has nothing positive to offer except fear itself
*They are the Karl Rove/Dick Wadhams/George W. Bush party of diviseness and "wedge issues"
*They are the "pander to religious extremists" party that actually holds the fundamentalists in contempt.
*They are the Big Oil, Big Pharma, and military-industrial complex party, totally beholden to all of those interests.
*They are the moral hypocrite party, preaching morality while violating it every day (see Mark Foley and many others).
*They are the anti-woman party, opposing womens' reproductive choice, high-quality health care, and other measures to truly help families.
*They are the "reward incompetence" party, giving medals and saying "heckuva job" to people who have completely screwed up (e.g., Iraq, New Orleans).
*They are the arrogant party, telling people time and time again that it's their way or the highway.
*They are the class warfare party, taking money from the working and middle classes and giving it to the ultra rich.
*They are the loser party, about to take a well-dserved drubbing at the polls on November 7.

Have I missed any?  Like the fact that George Allen epitomizes everything I've listed above, and more?

Newsweek Poll on Impeachment: 51% Say Yes (PM - 10/24/2006 8:49:37 AM)
http://www.msnbc.msn...

Other parts of a potential Democratic agenda receive less support, especially calls to impeach Bush: 47 percent of Democrats say that should be a “top priority,” but only 28 percent of all Americans say it should be, 23 percent say it should be a lower priority and nearly half, 44 percent, say it should not be done. (Five percent of Republicans say it should be a top priority and 15 percent of Republicans say it should be a lower priority; 78 percent oppose impeachment.)

Sounds like 51% to 44% in favor of tossing Bush in the old round file.

Allen flip flopped.  Nail him!

flip flop, flip flop (Jon-Phillip - 10/24/2006 9:16:01 AM)
Did I mention that Allen is a mf'n flip flopper?

The R's message on Iraq is listing, they are exposing themselves, hit them with a broadside!!!

Use the footage of the R's at the 04 convention you know, when they all had the flip flops, and were chanting about kerry.

Use that stuff, use Allen saying stay the course. then use his new lines.

Dont get caught in the tax weeds!!!!
