Halliburton's 3Q Income up 22%

The Houston-based co. posted $611 million or 58 cents per share in net income for the June-September 2006 quarter. The third quarter revenue was up 19% to $5.8 Billion. Halliburton's Iraq-related work contributed nearly $1.2 billion in revenue and $45 Million of operating income in the third quarter. Among the analysis for these earnings were the comments:
"Iraq was better than expected, " said Jeffery Tillery, analyst with Pickering Energy Partners Inc. "Overall, there is nothing really to question or be skeptical about. I think the results are very good."
