Youth For Webb!
Hello Fellow Dems,

On November 7th, we have an election here that could decide the fate of our entire party and the control of the United States Senate.

We are having a concert in Richmond, that night to encourage young people to come out and vote.

This concert is being hosted by the Maggie-Walker H.S. Young Democrats. We have 5 bands who are going to perform for free.

But we need your help.

You guys and gals here on Raising Kaine are the best political machine in Virginia, you helped Tim Kaine get elected.

You got Jim Webb into this race.
Help him one more time, young people can help decide this race. Especially if this election comes down to just a few hundred votes.

We have the support, we just need some more money to make this event happen.

Please contact your local democratic organization, people, and or pledge whatever you can to make this event possible on election night.

Bring young people to the polls on election night by giving a few bucks, or more if you have it.

We are not going to charge these college aged kids, but ask for donations the admission for the concert is verification of voting, i.e. the "I voted" sticker! The school however is asking for 1,000 dollars for security, building use, and janitorial services.

Please pledge to support our event!

Great idea, but.... (phriendlyjaime - 10/23/2006 2:04:09 PM)
I guess I am very confused.  If the concert is election night, then isn't that a bit late?  What time is the concert?  I guess I just need more info, and some thoughts on how this will persuade people to get out and vote BEFORE they come rock out.

the concert.. (youthforvirginia - 10/23/2006 2:11:59 PM)
is designed to encourage young people to vote in higher numbers. in order to be admitted to the concert, you must present verification of voting!

The concert begins when the polls close election day!

Oh, ok. (phriendlyjaime - 10/23/2006 2:38:48 PM)
