101 Webb House Parties!

From 4 to 6 PM today, we held 101 Webb for Senate "house parties" across Virginia, and also in the District of Columbia, which sadly has no representation in the U.S. Senate.  My understanding is that several thousand people attended these 101 parties, which featured a 10-minute conference call from Jim Webb.  At the house party I attended, we also showed the video, "Leadership We Can Trust", to about 25 people. We collected at least $600.  I've heard that one house party actually collected more than $2,200 for the Webb campaign.  In addtion to money, we signed up many new Webb volunteers and spread the word about Jim across Virginia.  Great stuff, and particularly fine work by my colleague Jason Korta at the Webb campaign.  Party on! :)

Update for you, Lowell (LAS - 10/23/2006 1:21:38 PM)
I co-hosted a house party yesterday and we raised $3,000+.

Sadly, we missed the conference call--I'm not really sure what happened, some kind of snafu. But we had Delegate Brian Moran to speak on Jim's behalf AND Steve Jarding, Sr. Campaign Advisor to the Webb campaign. (Steve is also a neighbor.)Both were, of course, brilliant and excellent and everybody was enormously pleased.

Good food, good conversation, good people, and a good cause. What more could anyone want?
