Well, I WAS going to get my car inspected tomorrow...

But it looks like I won't be able to now.  And, I was going to head over to the Science Museum in Richmond to hang out, but it looks like they are closed all day.  Apparently, traffic throughout the city will be horrible all afternoon.

I wonder why no one can go to the Science Museum tomorrow.  I wonder why 225 people will be turned away from the DMV from 1:30pm until 5pm (close of business day).

Good thing the Daily Press knows.

That's right, folks, it's a George/George fundraiser!  Awesome!
Tomorrow, George Bush will be hanging out with George Allen at the Science Museum of Virginia (Thursday, October 19th).  Do you oppose George Bush and his failed policies?  Do you oppose those in public office who align themselves with our despicable POTUS?  Well, come show them.  Participants of the fundraiser are required to arrive by 3:30PM, with the photo opp at 4PM and the reception at 4:30PM.  Bush's visit to my town (and in such a public venue) represents a rare opportunity for me to express the feelings of the OVERWHELMING MAJORITY OF THE COUNTRY'S dissatisfaction with him, his war mongering policies, and those who support him.  Numerous groups and individual participants are planning a protest to coincide with this fundraising event.  Details are given below.  Please plan to come out to show your opposition to this disgraceful Administration and all that it represents.

I'll be there; will you?

Date:  Thursday, October 19th
Time: 3-6 PM  (please come out early or late as your schedule allows)
Occasion:  Protest to coincide with the time and location of Bush fundraising event for Senator Allen.
Place:  In front of the Virginia Science Museum.  We will attempt to congregate near the corner of DMV Drive and West Broad Street (security restrictions permitting).  Parking may be available in the DMV parking lot adjacent to (east of) the Museum, considering George and George are forcing it to close down, but who knows?

What a WONDERFUL opportunity to tell the George twins what we think of them!  I'll be there with bells on, and again I ask; will YOU?

Oh-gotta add for the crazies over at the A-Team, just in case they have nothing to do tonight (most likely) and they feel like smearing me, RK, and/or the Webb camp:

PhriendlyJaime is a super volunteer for the Jim Webb for US Senate Campaign.  The ideas expressed here belong to PhriendlyJaime alone, and do not represent those of Jim Webb, his advisors, staff, or supporters.  I approve this message, and anyone who doesn't like my stance can kiss my ass.

God bless America, and our (ever shrinking) Democracy.  :)

Really? Maybe George and George can learn something while they are there-Global warming, etc. Is there a dinosaur exhibit?

Paraguayan trek in the offing? (PM - 10/19/2006 8:54:30 AM)
Maybe Bush will be boning up on knowledge about Paraguay -- if you've heard THOSE rumors:

Great disclaimer. (Lowell - 10/19/2006 4:42:46 AM)
But please, tell us how you really feel, Jaime.  C'mon now, don't hold back so much!!! :)

Dem women (martha - 10/19/2006 5:37:36 AM)
I have been reading this blog for a while. I love to read and occasionally comment but I have to tell you... Jaime is my favorite !

I am a retired school teacher ( 56 years old) about to be a gramma (g-g) for the very first time. My daughter is 30 and Jaime reminds me so much of her.My daughter Erin ( and you too Jaime) take no prisoners. Many people say that Erin and I are just alike but my daughter kicks butt all day long in a hostile environment. She works for a Fortune 20 Company, surrounded by Pubs and constantly tells them what she thinks and what they can do w/ it if they don't like it ( in a professional way, OF COURSE). ;-)

Jaime you just keep writing what you write and doing what you do.You are great!

Democratic Women REALLY are the life of the party!

Thanks!  You keep fighting too!

Jamie: Is Bush Seeing the Strangler Before Or After? (PM - 10/19/2006 7:40:52 AM)
LOL--rhetorical question.  Bush is also propping up Don "The Strangler" Sherwood today in NE Pennsylvania. http://www.thetimes-...  It's not clear from the two stories whether macaca gets visited first or second.

Go PhriendlyJaime (Bubby - 10/19/2006 11:38:39 AM)
Get out there and show them what an independent, strong-willed woman looks like!  I'm in NOVA today, but if I wasn't I'd have your back. Come on Richmond, show the Decider what you think about his new executive powers.  Ask George Allen what, exactly, is HIS Iraq plan. Is he trying to steal Jim Webb's plan?  The push is on!

19 Days.

456 hours.

Hey, if Jaime's arrested... (Lowell - 10/19/2006 11:52:15 AM)
...we'll just get a writ of habeus corpus and, uh, er, whoops!  Looks like The Decider has taken care of THAT possibility!  Heh heh.

Anybody gets arrested... (Bubby - 10/19/2006 12:00:06 PM)
I'll make the arrangements. Just don't get an assault charge.

Great Photo Maybe (norman swingvoter - 10/19/2006 11:42:43 AM)
According to The Richmond Times Dispatch, since the reception is being held at the SMV, a state government public place that they are renting, the event will be open to the media so, hopefully, there will be some great photos and/or video that will sink both allen and bush in the polls even more.
