Why George Allen's Afraid

Hasn't it been obvious that George Allen is afraid of Jim Webb? Well, here in Virginia it's very obvious.

All you have to do is spend a few hours at home in front of the TV and see all of the Allen TV ads that distort Jim Webb, his charachter, loyalty, and positions on the issues.

But... during all this time has Allen even been successful?

No.

That's why the rumor is Allen is going to make another two minute TV airtime buy for a second statewide address to Virginia.

It's obvious George Allen's afraid. very obvious.
And, Virginians know it. That's why he's lost all of his double-digit lead he had during the summmer.

Allen has made an ad with John Mccain.
Allen has made an ad of Women "against" Webb.
Allen has made an ad that lies about Webb on taxes.
Allen has made an ad of his wife, last ditch effort.

I think he's freaking out.

No one thought that Jim Webb would be even close in the polls why, and this is from what they said. "We have more money". Of course he wants everyone to know this race needs to be decided on issues of "shared concern, and shared values".

Here's where I stand on that.

Virginians don't value racism, we value diversity.
Virginians don't value mud, we value honesty.
Virginians don't value lying, we value charachter.

My message to Senator George Allen is this:

If you want this race to be decided on issues, you would have talked about what you have done as Governor and a U.S. Senator.

We want to know where you stand on the issues, everytime someone asks you a real question, you never answer it.

No one wants to hear your political bullshit.

Be honest, and at least if you are even if it's something everyone doesn't agree with maybe you will keep some independent and moderate voters with you.

If not.. if you continue to go down this path, if you continue to run from your own record, if you continue to lie about your own opponent you will lose.

In life, we all reap what we sow.

It's true in the biblical sense, it's true about life.

People are going to the polls on November 7th, and when they get in that ballot box will they vote for someone George Allen paints out to be a "liberal" but at least has integrity, or will they vote for someone who's a "moderate" and obviously another lying politician.

People value integrity more Senator.

You can't run away from voting with the President 97% of the time and make ads and drop names of Mccain and John Warner. If you agree with the President then be proud of it.

In 2004 people in the middle voted with Bush because he had resolve, they may had disagreed with him on the issues but they thought he was proud of where he stood on the issues.

You sir, want to talk about the issues and then run away from them when your asked?

I don't understand this.

In the Navy, they teach us about Honor, Courage, and Commitment. In the Marines, it's exactly the same.

Jim Webb knows about this, as a former marine, and as a former Secretary of the Navy.

It's up to you Senator Allen if you can follow this in the final stretch, when your political life is on the line.

Everyday, I run in to a veteran, a servicemember, and every single one is supportive of Jim Webb.

Even if they disagree with him on the issues.

Why. Ask yourself.

Jim Webb is going to win this election, not because he's got the most money, not because he's got the most ads, not because he's got the most signs.

But because he's got integrity.

You can't buy that Senator Allen, it's not for sale.

Yes, he is, and he's running out of ideas (PM - 10/16/2006 9:48:46 AM)
The NRO Online blogger evaluating the national races says Allen should stop running the Naval Academy ads.

Here's something amusing, unintended I'm sure, from an Allen support letter to the Roanoke Times, written by one of his former teammates:

What struck me most was how quickly he reached out to me and accepted me as a teammate. ***
Another of his gifts was the ability to remember names. He would make up nicknames that would help him remember people.

Like Wizard?

My thoughts exactly.  Is he really going to do another infommercial?  Will Susan be allowed to speak?  Maybe he'll trot out the kids--nothing would surprise me.  We have to win.
