Former Supreme Allied Commander of NATO Europe and retired Four Star General, Wes Clark, giving a call to arms about the dire state of our democracy. Please watch.  Clark gives chilling first hand accounts of the Neo-Con strategy to take us to war with one billion Muslims.

Wow!!! (NukeTeacher - 10/12/2006 10:12:06 AM)
Everyone needs to see this!!  Even the Repuglicans.

Wes Clark is remarkable (Tink - 10/12/2006 10:29:39 AM)
That is an incredible speech. Talk about laying it on the table. I am forwarding it to everyone I know.

Wes Clark isn't really a politician - but he is a man this country could desperately use.  I hope whoever the Democratic candidate for President is...asks him to be VP.  All that wisdom and knowledge needs to be used.

Also on Daily Kos (Todd Smyth - 10/12/2006 10:21:41 AM)

Wes Clark knows what he's talking about (vadem - 10/12/2006 10:43:48 AM)
He has said this from the start--just like Jim Webb.  Clark knows the terrible games that Bush and Co have played with our democracy and our security.  He doesn't just think we're in trouble-he knows we're in deep trouble.  I've never heard another Democrat lay it on the line or stand up to George Bush and call them out like he's done repeatedly.

He may not be your typical politician, but he's a leader extraordinaire.  Big difference.  This country would be fortunate to have him directing our turnaround in 08--from the top spot.  Why would we want to make a wise leader like Clark a second stringer?  Like he says-the foreign policy and national security problems top everything.  We won't have health care or jobs concerns if there is no democracy left.

I LOVE this man (LAS - 10/12/2006 11:01:28 AM)
I was hoping he'd come do a fundraiser in NoVA for Jim Webb. I'd love to see them together again.

That would be great (Todd Smyth - 10/12/2006 1:56:04 PM)
Particularly in Norfolk or other Veteran areas of VA

Clark (drmontoya - 10/12/2006 11:12:53 AM)
is he our only hope now (since warner's out) in 2008?

If people pay attention (vadem - 10/12/2006 11:20:11 AM)
Clark will be seen as the preeminent expert on the problems our country faces.  He represents a huge opportunity for our country, and I think, our only hope of actually electing a leader to show us how to get back all the precious things we've squandered. While Warner has lots to offer and was an excellent leader for Virginia, he was still missing the experience, first-hand knowledge and the global contacts necessary to turn this ship around before we go over the edge.  He'd make a fine vice president, senator or governor, and I'd support him wholeheartedly in any of those endeavors.

I don't see him as a VP (Todd Smyth - 10/12/2006 1:57:26 PM)
If he can't make as prez, Clark has always looked like a great Secretary of State or Defense.

All Hands on Deck! (Bubby - 10/12/2006 11:24:15 AM)
This speech details what the November election is about. Thanks again Todd.

I still like Clark as VP (DanG - 10/12/2006 3:16:54 PM)
I think a Bayh-Clark ticket would be incredible.

Two comments (vote-left - 10/12/2006 3:50:01 PM)
First, holy sh*t.

Second, I'm not surprised at anything Mr. Clark said, especially about the Cabal's idea that the American people are the major obstacle to success in Iraq if the administration could just keep us from knowing the truth.  And, that the Cabal had a strategy to attack seven countries in five years.

This Video Says It All about Why 2006 is So Important (Florence - 10/12/2006 10:41:02 PM)
I don't need to add a thing to Wes Clark's message about what is at stake on November 7th.  We have got to take our country back, starting this year and continuing in 2008.  Wes Clark is just the person to lead this critical mission.
