From the Webb campaign comes more good news...

(Richmond, Virginia) G Today, the Richmond Crusade for Voters endorsed Jim Webb for United States Senate. Founded in 1956, the Richmond Crusade for Voters has sought for nearly 50 years to increase the influence of African Americans in the political process in Richmond.

GǣThe full body of the Richmond Crusade for Voters convened last night and enthusiastically endorsed Jim Webb for the US Senate.  It was with great excitement and overwhelming pride that we did so. We feel very strongly about Mr. Webb's vision and candidacy. We are very impressed with him. We will be working tirelessly on his behalf to make sure he is victorious on Election Day,Gǥ said Crusade President Melvin Law.

GǣWe are not impressed with Mr. Allen's Johnny-come-lately GsensitivityG to the plight of minorities and the African American community. We do not appreciate nor admire his record. If you believe that Allen is the right guy to further the agenda of minorities, I have a bridge to sell you in Brooklyn. The Richmond Crusade for Voters is a non-partisan organization, but we endorse people who represent inclusiveness and tolerance, and it is our view that Mr. Allen deserves nothing more than an F for his service,Gǥ said Law.

GǣThe Richmond Crusade for Voters is a truly honorable organization with roots in the Civil Rights movement, promoting tolerance, inclusiveness and bringing everyone into the democratic process,Gǥ said Jim Webb. GǣI am honored today to receive the Crusade's endorsement.Gǥ
