I think it is too late (Alice Marshall - 10/10/2006 4:45:11 PM)
I think the law says it has to be in the Registrar's office today by close of business. I don't think postmarked Oct. 10 is good enough.

The website says postmarked by today (Andrea Chamblee - 10/10/2006 5:50:59 PM)
You can get it postmarked at any of the listed post offices through the evening.

from the form:
This form must be postmarked or delivered to the county or city voter registration office or DMV no later than 29 days before the lection in which you plan to vote...

from the instructions:
If mailed, the application must be postmarked no later than the deadline.
If delivered in person, either by the applicant or a third party, the application must be received by the deadline....

Don't be discouraged - please register.

I stand corrected (Alice Marshall - 10/10/2006 6:52:36 PM)

My daughter moved (lwumom - 10/10/2006 7:15:43 PM)
to another county since the last election and says she did the motor-voter thing, but never received an acknowledgement.  If it never went thru can she still vote where she's registered...her old address?

Confirm the registration at the link above (Andrea Chamblee - 10/10/2006 9:21:06 PM)
and if the address didn't change to the new one, she can vote at her old address.

She can also call the State Board of Elections (SBE) at Virginia State Board of Elections
Suite 101, 200 North 9th Street,
Richmond, Virginia 23219-3485
