John Kerry on Jerry Kilgore and Tim Kaine

From John Kerry to Virginia voters (emphasis added):

Dear xxx:

The Kilgore campaign asked George W. Bush to come to Virginia today in a desperate attempt to recover from their candidate's gaffe-filled performance in Saturday's gubernatorial debate.

Tim Kaine was the clear winner in this year's first face off between the two candidates. If we move quickly we can build on Lt. Governor Kaine's momentum and move an important step closer to ensuring Tim Kaine's victory this November.

Today, Bush is coming to Virginia to stand with Jerry Kilgore to try to sell Kilgore's failed programs and irresponsible policies to your fellow Virginians. With his fiscal recklessness and mean-spirited, negative campaign tactics Jerry Kilgore is wrong for Virginia.

We will not allow him to turn back the clock to the old days when Virginia was running massive deficits and the transportation and educational needs of the state were going unmet.

Bush will use his fundraising network to fill Kilgore's campaign coffers with checks from powerful special interest groups and hard-right ideologues. Let's use our grassroots power to help Tim Kaine fight back. If you want Tim Kaine to continue his fight for honest budgeting, giving every kid a good education, keeping faith with Virginia veterans, creating good jobs throughout the state, and protecting habitat for fishing and hunting, then you need to do everything you can to put Tim Kaine in Virginia's governor's office.

Virginia is one of only two gubernatorial races this year. It will be closely watched to see which party has a vision for the future that inspires voters at the polls. You can help stop Bush in 2005 by acting today.

Join with the Johnkerry.com community in Virginia as we kick off a special one-day fundraising campaign to give Tim Kaine a strong grassroots boost.

Kilgore and Bush think this is their day in Virginia. Let's prove them wrong.

By the time Bush returns to the White House tonight, let's show that thousands of Virginians are committed to maintaining Democratic control of the governor's office by electing Tim Kaine this November.

Please pass this message along to everyone you know in Virginia. In the next 24 hours, let's stand with Tim Kaine.

Thank you,

John Kerry

Electing more people (Robert Quam - 4/4/2006 11:27:18 PM)
Electing more people like Tim Kaine and John Kerry to higher office will be the first of many steps in restoring America to the values of tolerance, respect for individual freedom, respect for International Law, and keeping America as a beacon to all other nations about what Democracy can hold for them.

Oh my!!!  Kerry & Teresa are certainly not what this country needs!!  A man who trashed his fellow servicemen--froze his Army records--his Yale transcripts and put himself in for Purple Hearts for questionable awards--Real HERO'S put a band aid on it and went out to fight for his country and buddies again.
After 50+ years as a staunch Democrat this man has alienated me forever as a Democrat.  WISE up Americans--we do not need his ilk running this great country>

I agree Kaine would (Patricia Murphy - 4/4/2006 11:27:18 PM)
I agree Kaine would be smart to utilize John Kerry?s fundraising power. Many people in Virginia are swing voters and not beholden to the GOP, especially with the existing sad state of affairs with the Rove "Treasongate". John Kerry actually performed quite well in Virginia and did not lose by much. Many veterans in the state are well aware of the provisions of Kerry's military bill of rights which have passed which benefit widows of those who've perished in Iraq. He?s still popular in many parts of the state.

Half of America vote (Patricia Murphy - 4/4/2006 11:27:18 PM)
Half of America voted for John Kerry in 2004. He's still a very powerful senator with potential for another run in 2008. Kaine would be smart to utilize Kerry's fundraising power. How quickly you forget that Kerry treated Bush like a punching bag in the three debates.

I always contribute to anyone who Kerry supports.

Why in the world doe (Buzzbomber Bob - 4/4/2006 11:27:18 PM)
Why in the world does Kane want a whining, second rate loser like John Kerry campaigning for him?  John Kerry has all the charm and charisma of a used cholostomy bag.

I'm amazed Kerry wan (Robert Quam - 4/4/2006 11:27:18 PM)
I'm amazed Kerry wants all the info on Mr Bush's candidate for the supreme court!!

During the past presidential election Mr Kerry froze his war records---Yale records etc!

WOULD you want a president who had (5) D grades at Yale runnning this country (I think not)  Fortunately the Heinz corporation has NOT put him into a place of power!!(Teresa is more astute than that!)  (unless dish washer qualifies!)

AMAZING howe soon we forget the transgession's of our Vietnam troops---HIS name WILL live in INFAMY along with Jane Fonda!

The sooner we get hin into a MEANINGFUL job--(sweeping floors at Heinz headquarters better is a meaningful job for him!  (This from a 50+ year staunch Democrat!)

John Kerry is the pe (TJDavis - 4/4/2006 11:27:18 PM)
John Kerry is the perfect surrogate fundraiser for Tim Kaine.
If Democrats want a loser like John Kerry to back their candidate, who are we to stand in the way?
I'm just going to sit back and watch Bush-Kerry part deux!
