There were approximately 125-150 people that attended a fundraiser for James Webb at the home of Madan and Monica Prasad in Clifton last evening.  Jane Barker, Co-Chairman of the Democratic Womens Club of Clifton gave a wonderful colorful introduction of Webb.  The Democratic Womens Club is now up to 300 members.

Webb was enthusiastically supported by both members of the Indian community as well as women and their spouses connected with the Club.  Madan and Monica were gracious hosts who served an amazing array of Indian cuisine.  A fun time was had by all.

Webb made a point of mentioning Sidarth and how his family had enjoyed him so much during his stay with them in southwestern Virginia.  Once again Webb got a round of applause when discussing our current situation in Iraq and what has brought us into this no ending debacle.  Thanks to everyone who worked so hard to make this event such a success.  I don't know what the final amount was that was raised but I'm sure it added to his already 3.5 million dollars.

Wow ... (Catzmaw - 10/7/2006 10:16:02 PM)
Wow, for a dour, woman-hating "sourpuss" Mr. Webb appears to be enjoying his conversations with the women who turned out to support him.  And gee, not a single one looks offended at the horrible anti-woman bogeyman.
