It's just me (TurnVirginiaBlue - 10/4/2006 7:56:26 PM)
But...I want to see Jim with Madeleine Albright.

The reason is she was Secretary of State and is one very serious person on national security, foreign policy and military matters.

She also is highly critical of Bush and Iraq.

The message, beyond Dems can really kick ass on national security, foreign policy and military affairs, from the "woman thing" is she embodies the idea that women can indeed lead, be military leaders and be very tough on national security, military strategy and foreign affairs.

Jim's wife Hong is FAB.... (kevinceckowski - 10/4/2006 10:11:42 PM)
she should be with Jim at more events if possible.

She is sweet, intelligent, and really into this campaign. An inteview with her would be super on RK............PLEASE Lowell.  Live blog with Hong.

I was not wrong about Hillary and I did not even get a call from her staffer to attend this fab event.

GO JIM !
GO HONG!

Today was an issues day at the Farmer's Market, Clarendon, Virginia.  They really enjoyed all the copies I provided about Jim and his stance on the issues verses ALLEN's sorry state of affairs.  Many talked about MACACA and Allen, others talked about his waste of money on the 2 minute commercial/campaign ad.  He is desperate someone said.
Big issues today at the Market were the Pro Environment-no digging up Va Beach coastline nor Alaska nor being bought by BIG OIL, ProStem Cell Research, ProHealth Care FOR ALL, Pro Choice, ProGun Ownership, PRO GLBT, Vote NO on the Marriage Amendment.

A few asked about Jim's wife and her role in the campaign. I reiterated the above about Hong that she is full of spirit for Jim's campaign and for a change in Virginia.

Better yet, (mkfox - 10/4/2006 10:36:44 PM)
I think Jim needs a family man TV ad with Hong. We've seen a "Enter Jim Webb" one, Allen is wrong on Iraq and too snuggly with Bush ad, and then a rebuttal one. We've seen Webb the war hero and Webb the Navy secretary, time for Webb the husband and father!

For Sure!!! (elevandoski - 10/4/2006 10:44:19 PM)
I think he really needs exactly that! The "Family Man" ad, reiterating that fact that his son is over in Iraq.  That, I think, would really ring home with the "security moms" out there.  I know I can't stop thinking about it.  There must be so much anxiousness going to bed every night known your child could at that very moment be in harms way.  Everybody with loved ones over there would really understand and appreciate what he is going through.

COMMENT HIDDEN (Neen56 - 10/5/2006 3:16:33 AM)

Webb family ad (pammiekin - 10/5/2006 8:09:31 AM)
Neen:

I hope I don't have to compromise my passion to elect Jim Webb because there are people who are more concerned about any candidate's personal life, albeit, a moral, ethical and legal personal life, rather than his position on the issues.  Hong is Jim's 3rd wife.  Susan is George Allen's 2nd wife.  Jim is 60 not 62.  And there are many Dems who support Hillary Clinton.  She's hardly a symbol of the far left.  Those who dislike or even hate Hillary would not have been on the list of potential Webb supporters anyway.  The whole "Hillary is evil" campaign is one waged by right wing hate talk radio.  In fact, if you do a fact check, most of the comments by Fox and the right wing talkers are absolutely untrue or spun in such a fashion to mislead.  We want to win but not at the expense of compromising our basic beliefs as Democrats.

Well said!! n/t (Arturo - 10/5/2006 8:24:10 AM)
