Thanks to your contributions -- large and small -- we've already raised $9,500 toward our online goal of $11,000. But we still need to raise another $1,500 before tomorrow's deadline.

Can you help? Click here to contribute today.
Tom Davis brags of his ability to raise millions from special interests.

He thinks those dollars can cover up his record of supporting the Bush Administration 90% of the time. He thinks those dollars can cover up his unflinching support for the "stay the course" strategy in Iraq.

Help us prove him wrong.

Click here to contribute $25, $50, $100, or the most you can afford today.

Are you tired of a Congress that gives massive handouts to oil executives while refusing to invest in alternative energy?

Are you tired of a Congress that puts the interests of drug lobbyists ahead of our seniors?

Are you tired of a Congress that allows our troops to be sent into harm's way without the equipment to protect them?

If so, click here to help elect a new member of Congress -- a member of Congress who will stand up to George Bush and represent our values.

Watch Andy on Newschannel 8 Tonight

Andy did a great job this morning on Mark Plotkin's Politics Hour radio show. In case you missed it, you'll be able to view the hour-long interview tonight at 8:00 PM on Newchannel 8.

"Bake Davis" (Andrea Chamblee - 9/29/2006 6:20:39 PM)
An anonymous poster - someone unfortunate enough to lack the courage of his convictions --  has sneered that an $11 contribution was a mere "bake sale." Tom Davis himself likewise sneers at grassroots donations, telling reporters that he doesn't take a nickle from oil companies, while meanwhile he took $3.07 million from Oil and energy PACs.

Yo're $11 goes a long way. Hurst's manager does amazing things with money, paying all rent and salary for the Hurst grassroots.  What you contribute now all goes to more literature, more canvassing, more phone calls.  Andy's polling at a tie among people who hear him - let's get that number up.  Let's Bake Tom Davis.

HORRIBLE!!! (Dan - 9/29/2006 8:10:04 PM)
As usual, the news screws us all.  Andy Hurst is NOT ON TV at 8pm.  Instead, Barbara Walters is discussing Steve Irwin.  You know what, Andy is 100 times more interesting than some sappy Barbara Walters special on what is SUPPOSED to be a news channel.  However, this is what is on TV in my community.  Maybe, perhaps, it is on in Fairfax, if we are lucky.  But, as usual, Andy is too hidden from the public.  If the people of the 11th met Andy and heard him speak, he would win in a landslide.

Even their website... (Dan - 9/29/2006 8:25:47 PM)
Even the News8 website shows that Steve Irwin gets primetime.  Darn!

We're working on this... (Hurst for Congress - 9/29/2006 8:44:34 PM)
We were told we were supposed to be on at 8PM, but can't find out what is going on.

If anyone has better googling skills then me, try and figure out what time Mark Plotkin is supposed to air on TV.

NewsChannel 8 Schedule page is down, so I can't even check if we got bumped.

I am bummed too. (bladerunner - 9/29/2006 8:33:51 PM)
Does Tom Davis own News Channel 8 too. I was at the Fairfax game tonight, and boy Tom Davis was an angry man.

Call the station at 703-236-9NC8 (Andrea Chamblee - 9/29/2006 8:51:39 PM)
News number 703-236-9555

Tom's DONORS own NewsChannel 8.

It is owned by Allbritton, which also owns channel 7, an affilliate of ABC/Disney.

eventually the interview will be archieved here.

Do tell about Davis, Bladerunner!  Did he meltdown again?

Set your TiVo for 11 pm (Andrea Chamblee - 9/29/2006 9:34:21 PM)
According to the latest schedule.

Who's going to record and load it? My own TV electronics are from last century.

Yuppers he is on at 11 PM and doing well (Used2Bneutral - 9/29/2006 11:30:51 PM)
In addition, Andy's hour long interview show on Mark Levine's Inside Scoop TV show on the Fairfax Cable Access Channel (10 on Cox) will be replayed again this week 3 more times throughout Northern Virginia starting Monday night 7-8 .... He did really well on that show also when it was on live back in August.... I wouldn't be surprised if he, Judy, and probably Webb get some more air time on some other shows several times in October.... they all do so amazingly well when you put them in front of a camera or an audience.....

I loved Hurst's ending statement - jail time for Davis's friends! (Andrea Chamblee - 9/30/2006 12:21:13 AM)
Meanwhile, in the news, more names to come.  Will Davis's name be among them?
U.S. District Judge Paul Huck refused to delay Abramoff's prison sentence for fraud charges Thursday, rejecting a plea by the Justice Department's top corruption prosecutor, who said Abramoff was providing information about officials whose names hadn't yet surfaced in the case.

In the past month, the FBI has been pursuing leads about Abramoff's access to the White House and whether he was able to help lawmakers get Bush administration backing for their bills, according to someone familiar with the direction of the investigation who spoke on condition of anonymity because of its secrecy.
