Capture or Kill Osama bin Laden!

Democratic president Bill Clinton established a "Capture or Kill" policy for Osama bin Laden. Republican George Bush has left us with "Hope he dies of disease or old age."

Republicans used "Wag the Dog" to keep Clinton from invading Afghanistan to go after Osama Bin Laden. Republicans are now using "Cut and Run" to keep us bogged down in Iraq, where they have turned most of the Islamic world against us and given Bin Laden exactly what he wanted.  Before 9/11, Republicans ignored Al Qaeda and bin Laden.  Since 9/11, Republicans have had 5 years of unlimited military access and full Congressional support to take out Bin Laden but now have disbanded the CIA unit dedicated to capturing the terrorist.
We need people in congress who know the difference between a religious fanatic hiding in a cave and a secular dictator living in a palace.  It's time to get rid of the people who misled the American people and got it all wrong and begin a new course that will give the Iraqis an incentive to stand on their own so we can go after the terrorists who attacked us on 9/11, Repair our standing in the world and defend our country from future attacks.

In a Washington Post article (September 4, 2002) before the Iraq War began, Virginia US Senate candidate, Jim Webb accurately warned us all about the problem of invading Iraq "without broad-based international support" and without an exit strategy; pointing out that: "The Iraqis are a multiethnic people filled with competing factions who in many cases would view a U.S. occupation as infidels invading the cradle of Islam." Webb went on to warn that while: "In Japan [After WWII], American occupation forces quickly became 50,000 friends.  In Iraq, they would quickly become 50,000 terrorist targets." and that an "American war" with the Muslim world would allow the Chinese to isolate the United States diplomatically while hampering our ability to win the war against international terrorism.

Symbiosis (Teddy - 9/26/2006 9:48:47 PM)
The relationship between George Bush and Osama bin Ladin looks more and more as though each needs the other-- that is, a symbiotic relationship-- whether planned or not, that's the way it's turned out. Need to scare the voters, George, to win an election? No problem, I'll issue another video to frighten folks, you'll know how to use it. Need a devil to recruit more terrorists, Osama? No problem, I'll bomb another Muslin state and talk about Islamofascists and the Caliphate, you'll know how to use it. Are they in cahoots? Time alone will tell, but one does wonder.

Look at oil prices (Gordie - 9/26/2006 11:15:18 PM)
Oil reached a high of around $78 a barrol. It is down to around $61 a barrol. Just what is going on? Why is Iran, Venezuala Syria and other countries dropping the price of oil. Ever since it appeared the price of oil was going to be a high election topic, the price all of a sudden comes down.
Are we seeing the Muslim countries in cahoots with this White House. Why would anyone, who hates Bush so much try to keep Republicans in power?
Are they in bed together?
Or does having Republicans in power help their cause?
Does all this mean that if the Democrats got in power Bio-Fuels and energy reducing projects would get off the ground and we would end our dependance on foreign oil?
Fear of losing all those big bucks make strange bed partners.
