The Webb campaign's crack research team has developed a series of side-by-side comparisons looking at Jim Webb vs. George Allen on the most important issues facing us today.  So far, I've put up energy/environment and health care.  Here's the third one, on stem cell research.  Enjoy!

Such an important issue. (phriendlyjaime - 9/25/2006 9:41:44 PM)
We need stem cell research, and we don't need it just for rich people who can invest in it.  We need to move on this.

Stem Cell Research (seamusotoole - 9/25/2006 10:00:30 PM)
The Allen people claim that Jim Webb has dishonored Reagan's memory by running an ad with his speaking highly of Jim.  George Allen has dishonored Reagan's memory by not allowing federal funding for stem cell research.  My grandfather died of Parkinsons Disease.  This research is needed to save lives.  I'm sure Nancy Reagan is proud of Jim
Webb's stance on fighting for this.

Very true. Allen dishonors Nancy Reagan (Lowell - 9/26/2006 6:14:32 AM)
and Ronald Reagan every day, by his absurd opposition to Federal funding for embryonic stem cell research, while he hypocritically says it's OK for individual stats and the private sector to fund it.  That's wrong on so many levels, it's hard to know where to start!  For one, according to Allen it's supposedly "murder" of an embryo, but also according to Allen it's alright if the private sector carries out that "murder?"  And it's alright for Allen if one level of government carries out that "murder," but not the one level that can really make a difference in terms of funding and commitment, the FEDERAL government?

Meanwhile, tens of millions of Americans suffer, as Ronald Reagan did, from terrible diseases that COULD BE CURED if cynical dolts like George Allen would stop disrespecting the wishes of Christopher Reeve (R.I.P.) and Nancy Reagan.
