More on the Wadhams Story

My main source on the Wadhams demotion story has authorized me to release the following statement:

Three different reporters told me the exact same story at different times.  I know it happened and the Allen folks know it happened, that is why they are so pissed off...They are taking time to deal with this because it is true and because they are indeed in turmoil over there.  There is no question that LaCivita is now running things and Wadhams has been demoted.  clearly a high level Allen person is leaking this to reporters.

It is not an accident that three different members of the media had this story from a person or persons at "the top of the Allen organization" that Wadhams was being demoted but that the Allen camp did not want a public announcement because they fear the inevitable "shake up" stories this late in the campaign.

To be continued...

P.S.  To those on the Allen side who want to make this about me, instead of their pathetic, lying, swift-boating, slimeball campaign, all I can say is that you can believe me or not, but I do NOT make shit up. If you believe that I do, you simply don't know me.  Ask anyone who DOES know me, and they'll tell you it's utter horse manure.

how much does LaCivita know about Virginia (teacherken - 9/23/2006 2:22:05 PM)
and why is having him in charge going to be any better than having Wadhams in charge?  At least Matalin lives in Virginia part of the time.

As far as I can tell, LaCivita has two claims to fame  (a) RSCC in 2002; (b) SBVT in 2004.  Neither indicates any undedrstanding of Virginia politics, and a tendency to go to the negative very early. I hope he does. Kilgore should have served as an object lesson that Virginians do not take all that kindly to that kind of personal, over-the-top attack.

Lowell, you are the MAN.... (bladerunner - 9/23/2006 2:30:10 PM)
At a way to stand up to the potential Allen folks. It wouldn't do any good for Lowell to make anything up folks--if he says it--it's the truth. Keep up the good work!!!!

Exactly, what would be the point of making shit up? (Lowell - 9/23/2006 2:56:50 PM)
Of course, the Allen people do it all the time, such as their never-ending explanations for the "macaca" remark:

*Thought that was Sidarth's name
*Mohawk, as in Sidarth's haircut which was NOT a mohawk, even though Chad et al. insisted it was.  LOL.
*Caca.  Whatever.
*Made it up.
*No clue.
*A word from northern Italy meaning "buffoon." Oh hell, that's no better.
*Can we go back to Mohawk again?

Makes your head hurt, no?  Time for a ham sandwich or something....ha.

Hate to do this to ya... (Kathy Gerber - 9/23/2006 3:49:08 PM)
.. but I'm back, and still working on what I think is the real explanation.  None of the above.  I'll try to hurry up.

Any hints? (Lowell - 9/23/2006 3:49:55 PM)
Now you've got me curious! :)

And to pile on, keep up the good work :)

Ham, pork chop and crow (kevinceckowski - 9/25/2006 6:01:17 PM)
according to Mark Fisher in WALPO.

Allen is dunnnn.  Ms. Richards comes to mine, now what was that about the fork?

Things Are Spinning Towards Webb (Lee Diamond - 9/23/2006 2:31:27 PM)
The momentum is with Jim now. It does not change what we have to do, but it makes it a helluva lot more fun !  Having said that, Allen still has some advantages.  He has a proven base of loyal voters and campaign workers.  He still has the money till our MO kicks in and we have what we need. I'll probably have more thoughts about this later.

Thanks Lowell (Gordie - 9/23/2006 3:10:26 PM)
It is pleasure hearing your comments and reporting. Keep up the honesty and up to date reporting. None of us can sit around talking, we need to be reporting all events when they happpen. We have sat silent too long and let Repub. spin so much that truth gets buried in lies and sounds like the truth.
When Demo's shake up their staff in elections it is reported immediately. Since Repub's are hiding their shake up one wonders what lies they are covering up.

Thanks Gordie, I appreciate it. (Lowell - 9/23/2006 3:15:00 PM)
See, here's the difference between Webb and Allen  Webb doesn't PRETEND to care about duty and honor, he actually has been living those values his whole life.  Allen?  Well, let's just say this guy's very good at pretending...until he gets all tangled up in his lies, that is.

GO GET 'EM, LOWELL!!! (bb10 - 9/23/2006 4:08:06 PM)
I really like the way that you, the other campaign staff, and Jim Webb won't take any BS from the Allen campaign. That's definitely one of the reasons I'm supporting Jim.

What first really got my attention in the Webb campaign was the FIERCE reply to Allen when Allen said Jim was unpatriotic for not supporting the ridiculous flag-burning amendment.

For too long, too many Democrats have backed down or have done nothing when they were challenged or wrongly attacked by Rethugs (think Kerry, Swiftboating, 2004). You, the other campaign staff, and Jim all show the backbone that I'd like to see in all Democrats.

Stay fierce and resolute. And, yes, we got your back.

Thanks. (Lowell - 9/23/2006 4:13:17 PM)
These Allen campaign people and bloggers are nothing more than bullies.  I've experienced bullies before - including anti-Semitic ones, by the way - and we all know the way to deal with bullies is NOT to run away from them and NOT to appease them.  Fortunately for our state and our country, this time around they've run into a candidate (Webb), a campaign team (Jessica VandenBerg, Steve Jarding, Mudcat Saunders, etc.), a Democratic blogosphere (Ben, Virginia Centrist, Waldo, Howling Latina, JC Wilmore, etc.) and 15,000 dedicated Webb "rag-tag army" volunteers who were all, to varying degrees, "Born Fighting."  Let's see them fight all of us!

Oh yeah, and we've also got the national (Lowell - 9/23/2006 4:16:06 PM)
Democratic netroots strongly behind Jim Webb.

And why do we care (Jane Oldham - 9/24/2006 3:19:05 AM)
If Wadhams has been demoted?  How will that be helpful?

Very silly. (Lowell - 9/24/2006 9:27:18 AM)
Why do we care about the Allen campaign being in turmoil, just 44 days before the election?  Gee, I don't know...slaps forehead several times.  Ha. :)
