Andrew Hurst and Jim Webb are putting out a call for supporters.  We don+óGé¼Gäót have the $2 million war chest that Tom Davis has, or the big Karl Rove donors that George Allen has, but what we do have is YOU.

And we need to know who you are.  This is not to ask you for your money or your time (unless you want to give it), but so that we can mark you as a supporter.  This has many advantages that you might not have been aware of.

When someone is identified as a member of Team Hurst they are taken off of our canvass and phone bank lists until it is time to vote.  This allows us to save our volunteers time, and to save your time as well.  Think of it as one less phone call during dinner.
Additionally, people that we know are behind Andrew Hurst and Jim Webb 100%, don+óGé¼Gäót get some of the persuasion mailings, allowing us to save money, and letting your piece of mail to go to an undecided voter and a potential winning a new vote.

I have set up a Website Form that allows you to put in your info and let us know that you support Andrew Hurst and Jim Webb.

Please take the 30 seconds needed to fill out the I Support Andrew Hurst and/or Jim Webb and help us.  It might not be the same as volunteering or contributing, but it certainly helps us in the same way, one less door to knock, and one less piece of mail to pay for.

Thanks for your time,
Nate de la Piedra

Andrew who? (FredFred - 9/15/2006 9:11:44 AM)
So I went to a big labor day church picnic in the 11th - Lots of Davis volunteers handing out fans, Davis and wife Jeanmarie showed up for about 15 minutes, and from all appearances it looked like Davis was running unopposed.

The next week I went to a much larger event - Burke Centre festival.  Davis had a booth and had beaucoup volunteers handing out fans and fliers.  From all appearances it looked like Davis was running unopposed.

Few days later I went to back-to-school night at my child's elementary school.  It was a reasonably small event, but Davis had someone there handing out lit.  From all appearances it looked like Davis was running unopposed.

I understand not running ads but it looks like Andy has absolutely no volunteer base.  Isn't 8 weeks before the election a bit late to start?  He's just as visible as Ken was this time 2 years ago.

Is a hit piece, that's great, perhaps you should post on ImATroll.com

Perhaps you missed the memo indicating that fans don't vote.  Andy has 7-10 volunteers making calls every night, and 15-20 canvassers every Saturday and Sunday talking to voters.

Oil company fans? (Andrea Chamblee - 9/15/2006 10:26:47 AM)
If you want to vote for a Congressmen who uses your tax tax money to send out campaign literature, and who uses oil company PAC money to make you a paper fan because local schools can't afford the energy costs for air conditioning in August, then you can fall for the Davis groupies at your local elementary school.

If you're looking for a politician who will spend your tax money as carefully as if it's his own, and who will write laws as if he has to fill his own fuel tank, then vote for Andy Hurst.
