We Won't Back Down

If you didn't know, Jim Webb loves Tom Petty. I thought in light of everything going on right now I'd have this video up here and talk about the Jim Webb I know..

This song "Won't Back Down" should be if not is our official campaign song it symoblizes everything we are fighting for in the campaign.
A FIGHT FOR CHANGE Jim Webb got in this senate race not because he's been dreaming of being a senator but because he couldn't take it anymore, he wanted to fight for you.

A FIGHT FOR TRUTH Jim Webb is tired of all the lying in Washington, he's ready for true honest change that isn't about campaign slogans, or mudslinging. It's about leadership.

A FIGHT FOR THE FUTURE Jim Webb has 5 Children, and 3 Grandchildren, and a baby on the way. He cares about the future, he cares about "taking care of your own". He wants to leave a country he's fought for in a better shape than it was when he was born.

A FIGHT FOR VIRGINIA Jim Webb's family has deep roots all over Virginia. All of Jim's kids were born in Virginia. They know no other home than the commonwealth. This is his home, these are the people he's fighting for.

A FIGHT FOR AMERICA Jim Webb and his family are no stranger to sacrifice. They have fought in every war. Jim in Vietnam and his only son Jimmy headed to Iraq. He's always fought for the little guy, even working pro-bono for veterans after the Vietnam War.

Jim Webb represents everything that's good about this country, every hope, every dream, every aspiration. Jim has never believed in backing down, he's always been "Born Fighting".

We won't back down either.

I agree!  WE won't back down.  Love the song, too.

but since this is a music thread, does anyone from around Richmond have the scoop on Kirby D. Carmichael?

I used to listen to his show back around 1969 or 1970 and still remember the theme...

nancy reagan did not have the decency to contact webb or the webb campaign personally. i cannot imagine what sort of hubris is required to issue commands to other americans through an employee. i am offended by the form of the missive more than i am by the content. she is not some sort of royalty and i think this a reminder of the attitude that made her such an unpopular first lady.

the add is respectfull and positive. the comments that were made by reagan that day were about jim webb. i believe that morally those comments belong to jim webb just as a written commendation would. if it is withdrawn the public at large will believe that it was in fact a very negative ad and every other related accusation will gain credence.

another reason to fight

Look at it, http://www.georgeall...

THE WEBB CAMP was very dignified during the macaca incident, look at them. They think this is a touchdown for them.

Wrong Again Allen Camp, When are they going to learn???

Idiots, This will backfire again.

Its obvious Nancy DIDN't see it. I hope she realizes now she's been played by Allen and the Republicans for political purposes.

If ALLEN really adores Reagan he wouldn't have had a problem with Webb's ad.

He cares more about losing then he does about Reagan's legacy.

Poor Nancy, old frail, and used by the GOP.

James darling.... (Bubby - 9/10/2006 11:12:28 AM)

How dare you James! I am the great Nancy Reagan and I am displeased!
