Jim Webb has announced his backing for Connecticut Democratic Senate nominee Ned Lamont.  Webb noted that "Joe Lieberman got too close to this administration," particularly on the Iraq War which Webb strongly opposed starting in 2002.

Earlier this month, Tim Kaine said that "politics is a team sport" and urged Joe Lieberman not to run as an Independent.  On August 10, Mark Warner congratulated Ned Lamont, "wish[ed] him success in November," and announced that his Forward Together PAC would be "supporting the Lamont campaign."

In other words, top Virginia Democrats are united behind Ned Lamont, the Democratic nominee, for U.S. Senate.  I'm happy to see it.  Now, I hope that Ned Lamont will reciprocate by helping Jim Webb defeat George Allen.  Thanks! :)
