There was a large, enthusiastic crowd last night at the grand opening of the Webb campaign office in Hampton Roads.  The place ran out of parking spaces (I had to park next door).  People overflowed out into the hall.  Virginia Beach Commissioner of the Revenue and 2nd District Congressional candidate Phil Kellam introduced Jim Webb.  The ubiquitous Mayor Meyera Oberndorf was also in attendance.  There wasn+óGé¼Gäót any press, as far as I could tell.  There was plenty of food, including homemade cakes decorated with Webb+óGé¼Gäós name.  A good time was had by all.  Let+óGé¼Gäós get organized and kick Allen+óGé¼Gäós butt out of the Senate!

What a fantastic enthusiastic crowd !  I had the privilege and  pleasure of manning the table across from the elevator and gathered a big, fat folder full of volunteer sign-up sheets and over $400 in donations for Webb shirts!

Unfortunately I missed the speeches, because I didn't want to leave the table, but was rewarded with a sweet thank you from JIM WEBB...woot!

We want Virginia back!
