According to the Virginian-Pilot "Labor group endorses Senate nominee Webb" 08/25/2006 (http://home.hamptonr...).

Senator Allen+óGé¼Gäós support of working people is abysmal.  In 2005, Allen supported the interests of the AFL-CIO and the United Auto Workers just 7% of the time, and the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers, Service Employees International, United Electrical Radio and Machine Workers, International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, American Federation of State County and Municipal Employees, and American Federation of Government Employees 0 percent of the time.

Senator Allen stands with President Bush on issues that affect all workers, not just union workers: opposing an increase in the minimum wage, in favor of privatizing Social Security, and cutting student aid.

The AFL-CIO endorsement of Jim Webb was "perfectly predictable" because Democrats support all working people, not just union workers.
