A special programming note: this Friday, from 12 Noon to 1 PM, former Gov. Mark Warner will be live blogging here at Raising Kaine.  Gov. Warner will be posting his comments at Daily Kos as well, but plans to answer questions only here at Raising Kaine.  Stay tuned for more details.  In the meantime, please feel free to use this as an open thread to talk about Mark Warner, the 2008 Presidential contest, the 2006 Senate race here in Virginia, etc.  Thanks.

Mark Warner Good for All Democratic Candidates (charleyconrad - 8/22/2006 8:07:42 AM)
Anytime Mark Warner appears with a Democratic Candidate it is a total plus.  Mark Warner has a unique ability to connect with people in a very personal way.  That ability to connect with people gives credibility to a candiate.  I have seen this in action many times.  About 40 Virginia Democrats went to New Hampshire to hear Governor Warner address the News Hampshire State Democratic Party at their convention.  I remember sitting with a group of people and talking about what Virginia was like prior to Warner, what he had to deal with when he got in office and what Virginia was like when he left office.  Then a video was played about Mark Warner in Virginia - suddenly business cards started sliding over in my direction.  It was a true connection even before he began to speak.  MRW is a total leader that has a great future no matter where the "journey" leads.
