Tell the DCCC you want a progressive - Andrew Hurst

The DCCC is catching on to online Democracy and doing what Mark Warner and some others have already done.  Letting people pick who they want them to support through online voting.  They have online voting going on now !!  The list is of names of candidates already in their red to blue classification, however, they also left a write-in spot open at the end.  I took full advantage of the write in box to add Andrew Hurst from the Virginia 11th district.  Andy has been working hard knocking on doors since last January telling people about his passion for a Government that is not beholden to special interest and their campaign contributions.  Andrew Hurst is the responsible and ethical leadership we need in congress to stand up to the Bush agenda and fight for what is best for the constituents of the 11th district even if it is not the best for the bottom line of the Oil or Pharmaceutical Companies

While Andy is not taking any money from PAC's the kind of attention and the fund raising letter the DCCC could send out for Andy could turn out to be the straw that breaks the incumbants back come Nov. 7th, cause this will be a close race no doubt about that.
I also voted for Phil Kelham in the VA-2nd, cause Virginia could be a blue state and we all need to support each other, and Chris Carney up in the PA-10 cause I have meet him before and think he would make a great Congressmen.

It is also important to point out that Andy is running a modern and progressive field campaign.  As noted above he has a devotion to field (knocking on doors, etc..), this is going to help the entire Virginia Democratic Party and future candidates for cycles to come.  Andy is using Prevail, which is the system used by the Virginia Democratic Party, and is tagging voters both with party identification and with whom they intend to vote for in 2006 (his race AND the senate race).  Tell the DCCC that investing in Andy is investing in the Future of Virginia.

Thanks for the Heads up NovaDem (pitin - 8/17/2006 4:20:34 PM)
I just show on over and told them to support Andy.

I wrote in Judy Feder... (Doug in Mount Vernon - 8/17/2006 4:42:51 PM)
...but Andy needs this too!  These should be Democratic districts in SHORT order!

DON'T Vote for 3 (Andrea Chamblee - 8/18/2006 10:09:23 AM)
I love Judy, but she already has money.  Write in Andy, but don't chose any others, so your write-in vote carries more weight.

Reality (demo925 - 8/19/2006 11:24:22 AM)
It's nice that Andy isn't going to take any money from PACs!  But the reality is that if he was he wouldn't be able to raise much unless there is a chance he can win. Labor is ok with his opponent and that makes up 75% of PAC money Dems receive.  I know we want to keep the action close to home but don't you think that we should be concentrating on districts that we have a better chance to win?

I know we hate the DCCC or the DSCC when they aren't helping our candidates but the reality is that they are putting their resources where they are best used!
