How do we make people wake up?

I did the phone bank in Woodbridge last night for the Jim Webb/Andrew Hurst combined effort.  It still amazes me though, how people still haven't woken up to the stupidity of the Bush administration.
How do we approach people who still don't know what a disaster the Iraq war is, or that think Saddam Hussian had something to do with 9/11?  I mean I'm at a loss sometimes to talk to people about this.  They don't believe me. Where do I start?

Personalization is one way (RayH - 8/17/2006 2:43:12 PM)

One way to get attention might be to relate how the actions of these leaders affect you personally.

I'm concerned about my boys. A young man who played basketball with them was killed on his first day out in Afghanistan last year. Jim Webb has a son in the Marines; the war in Iraq is personal for him. George Allen and George Bush don't have these concerns, and -to me personally- it seems like they're asking the military to do more and more with less and less, and with no end in sight.

Word of caution- tell the truth. Don't try to make up stories if they don't apply to you.
