Subtle Difference Means Alot

Something small but significant caught my attention while viewing the cable news coverage of the Allen debacle.

Frequently, when faced with a situation similar to this, the news media would present the issue as "Did Allen make a racist remark?".  That wasn't happening.  The issue was being presented as "WHY did Allen make a racist remark?".

Clearly this shows that the MSM isn't buying a word of the garbage Allen and his team, including many right wing bloggers, are trying to sell.  And why should they?  None of us are buying it either.  Every argument I've seen in Allen's favor has been easily shot down.

It isn't a "liberal media" thing, it's just plain common sense.  There is no reasonable explanation except that he said what he meant and he meant what he said.

P.S. Little pat on the back for RK and NLS, making appearances on CNN.  The RK logo and NLS's toupe flip looked good on TV.

Oh NO! (phriendlyjaime - 8/15/2006 9:07:26 PM)
I saw so much great coverage, but I missed the toupe flip and RK on CNN!  There's no way that there is a link, is there?

Not sure about a link (Eric - 8/15/2006 9:57:11 PM)
Just going from what I saw.  Although it appeared that they did a little editing - our header graphic was missing and the toupe's were on the left side.  Guess this is the website version of makeup.
