Recent News quotes from MSNBC.COM on security and Dems

More news coverage to report...I got this from MSNBC.COM political page. Here it is as it was written:

"Vice President Cheney, Republican National Committee chair Ken Mehlman, and White House spokesperson Tony Snow all stepped forward to argue that Lamont's victory is the latest sign that the Democratic party is captive to anti-war liberals and unreliable on security. An RNC memo released earlier this week said that fighting terror is the party's best issue heading into the midterms."

These kind of comments must be continued to be answered too, otherwise if said enough they will become reality. Let's face it the GOP are relentless in their quest to remain in Power, and also to dismantle the Democrats. And these kind of statements not met with an answer will sink in -- some would say they already have. Not to mention fighting in Iraq is doing nothing on Terror but embolding the enemy to get recruits.

Secondly,as written on MSNBC.COM, a GOP official in talking about Lamont's stand on the war said, "So if you have Lamont Democrats who say, bring em home, turn away, and it will be all over" the American people will say,"You're kidding yourself. We're in war and the only way you walk away from a war is as a victor, defeating the enemy" (Remember the Nam?)

Bad logic Mr. Dude Official. I would add that the American people have seen enough of the Fundamentalist Theocrat Bush's approach that they know Iraq didn't really have much to do with Al Qaeda--Al Qaeda was in the Afghanistan area. Theocrat Bush has achieved NOTHING in Iraq, and people will not think we're crazy to leave, they will think Theocrat Bush was crazy for going in and diverting Billions that could have been spent SOOOOOOO much wiser in Afghanistan.(Dems should say this OVER and OVER--we're barking up the wrong tree in Iraq) The Iraq war was a FATAL mistake made by Theocrat Bush. Why should we continue down the wrong road and get further from our stated goal of ridding terrorism. Staying the course is not logical and the public must be told this OVER and OVER.
I also thought Tony Snow's next comment was amusing--It's also from MSNBC.COM. This was Tony Snow's response when asked about whether he knew about the terrorist plot beforehand(he said yes), and whether he knew the news would break when it did--just after they whacked Democrats on Lamont's victory. Snow said,"Let me put it this way, I don't want to encourage that line of thought. I don't think it's fully accurate, but I also don't want....I know it's frustrating, but we really don't want to get too much into who knew what, where, when."

Jeez Tony somehow you just don't sound truthful!! Bottom line people--The Dem PR machine has to keep showing that we aren't weak on National Security(cause were not)--People like Jim Webb are the perfect medium for this message. I think Dems have to realize that we are dealing with an opponent that is willing to do ANYTHING to stay in power. They believe in their cause so much they will do ANYTHING, legal or not, to stay in power(Much like George Allen). These kind of quotes that I have shown, are just scratching the surface of what we are dealing with. The GOP are much like a facist party taking over a country slowly so that people won't panic, but if we don't dig our heels in, it will be too late--we'll wake up one morning and find ourselves living in a Fundamentalist Theocratic state, much like those we oppose in the middle east and Persian Gulf. And this is why I fight the fight.
