Jim Webb senior advisor, Harvard professor, co-author (with Dave "Mudcat" Saunders) of the 2006 book Foxes in the Henhouse, and renowned Democratic strategist (Tom Daschle, Bob Kerrey, Mark Warner) Steve Jarding will be live blogging today at Daily Kos.  It should be very interesting, especially given the recent Lamont-Lieberman race in Connecticut and the latest polls which indicate that Democrats have a great chance of taking back at least one House of Congress.  Check it out!

[UPDATE: The diary is up.  Please comment and recommned.  Thanks.]

I've already used my diary for the day, so I can't.

Yes, I'll mention it (Lowell - 8/11/2006 11:11:37 AM)

GOP Running from Bush! (kevinceckowski - 8/11/2006 12:52:49 PM)
This article coming out now over Yahoo.  http://news.yahoo.co...

President Bush may be hurting his own party, his GOP may be running for the hills. Any thoughts?

It is about time is all I can say.  I am glad they may be seeing what we have been telling them all along, he is dragging your party off a cliff.

Kevin Ceckowski- Arlington, Va

"An Associated Press-Ipsos poll conducted this week found the president's approval rating has dropped to 33 percent, matching his low in May. His handling of nearly every issue, from the Iraq war to foreign policy, contributed to the president's decline around the nation, even in the Republican-friendly South."

Go reccomend, if you can. (phriendlyjaime - 8/11/2006 12:58:55 PM)
Thanks.

Hey Wes Clark commented on Steve's blog! (Mitch Dworkin - 8/11/2006 5:37:19 PM)
Please see the comments about this on Gen. Wes Clark's blog:

Agreed and recommended

I couldn't agree with you more on your assessment of Ned Lamont's victory on Tuesday. The voters made a statement that they want change. As you state in your post, the CT primary was a "shift toward accountability and a demand that our elected officials offer us more than rubberstamps, politics as usual."

Steve, I'm glad you're on Jim Webb's team. Jim is someone else we need in the Senate. I've known Jim since we met back in 1982, when a West Point classmate of mine brought us together to discuss the idea of building the Vietnam memorial on the National Mall. We need Jim's voice in Congress, and I encourage everyone here to contribute to his campaign.

To which Steve replied:

Thank you General Clark...

General,

Thanks for your comments and observations and particularly for your support of Jim Webb. For those who might not be aware, General Clark was one of the key early endorsers and supporters of Jim Webb's when Jim really needed a shot in the arm in the primary campaign.

General Clark added credibility and legitimacy to Jim's candidacy and I thank him for that...but I am not surprised.

To me, Wes Clark is an American hero. General Clark is someone who understands the meaning of ledership and sacrifice. General Clark is beholden to no one but to the American people. I believed that he would have made a great president -- I still do.

Thanks again for all you have done for this country. Thank you as well for all you have done and for all you are committed to do for Jim in this campaign.

Steve

The title of Steve's blog is "Why Lieberman Lost. Why Webb Must Win. Wes Clark Comments!"

Cool....

Don't forget to read Steve's book...and throw in some comments in the Book Club. Wes recommended we read it a few weeks ago.
