Ain't That Sweet?

Cuban dictator Fidel Castro is sick, possibly dying.  In Miami, they celebrate.  In North Korea, they send "get well soon!' cards.  Here's North Korean dictator Kim Jong-il (pictured at left) sending his heart-felt wishes (Dr. Evil...er, Kim DOES have a heart, right?) to Fidel:

I sincerely wish you a speedy recovery to your health so that you can excellently continue to carry out the Cuban revolution and the great mandate given to you by the people of Cuba.

Kind of gets you right there, eh?  Nice to see that Fidel Castro has such a loyal friend in Kim Jong-il, one of the worst dictators and tyrants of the past 50 years.  As the saying goes, you CHOOSE your friends...

Speaking of dictators who are worried sick over Fidel:

Venezuelan President Hugo Ch+â-ívez Tuesday told reporters in Hanoi that he contacted Havana over the phone, following announcement that Cuban ruler Fidel Castro temporarily ceded power to his brother, Ra+â-¦l Castro, because of health problems.

[...]

"This kind of news is worrisome. I hope from the bottom of my heart that Fidel Castro recovers as soon as possible, so that he can be with us always," the Venezuelan ruler added.

"Long live Fidel Castro!" Ch+â-ívez exclaimed before reporters in Vietnam, where he is paying a two-day official visit ending Tuesday.

Ain't that sweet?

P.S.  Here's one of the latest reports by Amnesty International on Fidel's Cuba.  Not pretty.  And here's a recent report from the vast concentration camp known as "North Korea."  Just to keep things in perspective here.

Castro offered to train 500 black americans to be doctors if they promised to go back to their communities and practice.  That was last year.
