DNC Blog continues to link to and pick up on Hurst.

Hey guys, I wrote a comment about the DNC linking to a Hurst article on RK in my most recent diary Hurst: Tom Davis should resign from Government Reform Committee but then I did some more digging and have found FOUR articles on the DNC Blog that mention or focus on Andy Hurst

Follow me below the fold for the break down.

The first article to mention Andy was right after the 2005 elections on November 16, 2005 and was related to the National Organizing Kickoff event that the DNC hosted nation wide
NOK in Virginia

Germ+â-ín G+â-¦mez, senior partner with Puente Latino, emceed the event, and introduced Andrew Hurst, who is a candidate for the VA-11 Congressional seat. Hurst delivered a genuine and inspired speech that I would title "Why are you here?" asking each of those present to stop and think about why they were present at the event. He related a story about a moment when he first asked himself "why am I running for Congress?" and how it gave him the clarity of thought that guides him today on the campaign trail.

Second Article is pretty boring, but still mentions Hurst, along with the entire Virginia slate, it's just a rundown of primary day winners.
Yesterday's Primary Results

The third is my personal favorite, it has to do with the "I've never taken a nickel from oil companies", the famous statement that Andrea Chamblee broke with her story Tom Davis and his oily donors (and to toot my own horn, I got on the front page of MyDD).

That's not exactly true. $117,360 dollars not true. Democratic nominee Andrew Hurst is working to show him the door. Hurst is 36-year old attorney and running for office for the first time. He has been named the Under-40 Lawyer of the Year by the DC Bar Association, in part for his work with small and minority owned businesses.

Democrats You Should Know About

The last and most recent, isn't all that impressive, but it is a nod from the DNC and links to RK directly.  In Tuesday evening's Open Thread, Tracy Russo (as is customary) gave a couple of tid bits to get the discussion going, what did link to this time, our very own Lowell's Now THIS Should be Interesting!

I like the attention we seem to be getting from the DNC if not the DSCC and DCCC, what are your thoughts?

At Last Look (Mark - 8/3/2006 4:20:03 PM)
the DNC did not have a website listed for Jim Nachman, 7th District Candidate, although clearly RK has the link. His was the only one I saw that was not linked on their 'Virginia' information page.

Someone needs to let them know. I am too busy doing what I am doing to get it done; I just don't want Jim to get shortchanged in attention.

Good catch (pitin - 8/3/2006 4:38:43 PM)
but that post went up back in June, no one is reading it now, except for those of us that like to do back searches.

The more publicity the better (Ambivalent Mumblings - 8/3/2006 4:39:27 PM)
As Virginia has become more and more moderate over the years, I believe Democrats are realizing that the Commonwealth must receive some attention. Since Andy is calling for reform and is facing a Congressman who has some slippery relationships, I believe he is an excellent candidate for the DNC to promote.
