Hey there fellow RK'ers, I was doing some brief background research for my recent diary, WaPo Front Page Article Exposes Corrupt Republican Rep. Tom Davis!

And I found this kick ass site, www.TomDavisTruth.com

It goes into details, about all the lies that Tom Davis has said over this current campaign, and has links such as "follow the money", "Breaking", and so on.

Great site, Check it Out

And don't forget to VOLUNTEER and CONTRIBUTE to Andy Hurst

[UPDATE]Since this was front paged, I'm bumping my comment to the diary

The proof is in that Davis and his wife are breaking the law!!
Everyone who read the WaPo article about Davis remembers this line the House Ethics Committee told Davis

...they told Davis that the rules could be violated if his wife invoked his name or position when "soliciting clients or conducting other activities on behalf of the firm, whether or not the client was previously known to you or your wife"

Here is the proof that they were breaking the law,

if you go to Devolites-Davis official ICG bio, the very last line indicates quite clearly that is invoking her husbands name!

She is a partner with ICG Government, a
technology consulting group. A resident of Fairfax County for 25 years, Jeannemarie and her husband, Congressman Tom Davis, reside in Vienna.
Bolding is mine.

wow (GrumpyCareBear24 - 7/28/2006 7:46:01 PM)
i cant beleive that he almost got away with it, but luckily he didnt.  thats a smoking gun right there, you need to bring this to the attention of people in high places.

You should post this on Daily Kos, MyDD, etc. (Lowell - 7/28/2006 8:18:43 PM)

It's on MyDD (pitin - 7/28/2006 8:23:24 PM)
at the following link

WaPo Front Page Article Exposes Corrupt Republican Rep. Tom Davis! (UPDATE)

Have used up my Daily Kos diary limit, but if anyone else wants to post this, feel free, perhaps I should make a diary just for the smoking gun, but didn't want to make 2 diaries in 1/2 an hour, what does the community think?

Updated again (Mookie - 7/29/2006 10:36:48 AM)
I seems to be getting updated all the time.  Last week someone mentioned it on another Davis rant and it was really not more than a shell but even today there''s more than yesterday.  See Breaking news

Write to WAPO (Andrea Chamblee - 7/29/2006 11:21:46 PM)
The Post has got to get over the crush they have on Tom Davis.  Write to them and insist they follow up on the story and cover the other abuses of his position on the Reform Committee and his unethical fundraising where he has campaign limits but his wife does not, and his PACs pass through money from donors who've met and exceeded their contribution limits to the ultimate recipient.  You can write to letters@washpost.com.  Tell everyone you know to write, too.

I see the story getting picked up. There's a good article on POGO at http://pogoblog.type...

Lots of blogs discussing the story are linked here - go and comment if you can:  http://technorati.co...

Sent Huffington Post News Tip on the Tom Davis Site (Rebecca - 7/29/2006 12:21:31 PM)
Looks folks, if you want to create an echo chamber on these things you need to go to all the news sites and submit a news tip. (The Post article and the tomdavistruth.com website)

The Post came out with this on Friday which is the day for bad news you don't want anyone to know since most people aren't paying attention on Friday. We need to keep this news going.

All progressives need to do the echo chamber on this. I submitted a news tip to the Huffington Post. I hope they follow up.

Sorry to pimp my diary (pitin - 7/29/2006 12:34:18 PM)
But it's up on the Rec. list at MyDD right now.  MyDD is influential in the progressive blogosphere because it was the first one (Kos was originally a reader of MyDD) and because it has a more "insider" slant on it.

Go to WaPo Front Page Article Exposes Corrupt Republican Rep. Tom Davis! (UPDATE) and hit the recommend button and make sure it stays up there.  MyDD cares alot about about Davis/Hurst, but we need to give them more material.

Of my last 3 diaries (all having to do with VA-11); one was frontpaged, and two were #1 on the rec list (including a rec from founder and current Mark Warner staffer, Jerome Armstrong)

I recommended it. (Lowell - 7/29/2006 12:48:59 PM)
By the way, if we all recommend diaries that we feel are important to Virgnia - Webb, Feder, Hurst, etc. - it will be very helpful in getting our message out there.  All it takes is for you to set up an account on Daily Kos (#1 priority), MyDD (#2 priority) or other progressive blogs.  Then, recommend any diary you see or hear about that's favorable to Jim Webb, Judy Feder, Andy Hurst, etc.  That would be a BIG help.  Thanks. - Lowell

Here Here (GrumpyCareBear24 - 7/29/2006 2:04:42 PM)
I do a search for the "virginia" tag a couple of times a day to see if there are any diaries I can recommend.

Also, try cross-posting or linking to RK and other Va blogs from MyDD and Kos diaries to get some traffic here from Va people that might read the national blogs but not know that VA has it's own blogosphere.

oops, sorry that was me, n/t (pitin - 7/29/2006 2:09:17 PM)

Post this on every site you can think of (Rebecca - 7/29/2006 4:35:24 PM)
Go to every liberal or other site you can think of and post the link to the article and to the website:

People who advertise know that saturation within a short period of time is the key to ensuring that people receive and remember your message.
