Craney Island? Isn't there a hell of alot more to Virginia?

From the Washington Post today:
Allen Uses an Island to Put Webb on the Spot
George Allen made a hell of a mess of the state of Virginia's finances. No matter how much federal pork he talks about, it doesn't undo the damage his credit-card governorship brought to Virginia. Even today our governor is fighting the destructive and counterproductive culture of "no taxes ever" that George Felix Allen brought to Richmond.
So you want to attack Jim Webb for making a living as a writer. Does that mean that those Republicans who have written novels are similarly inappropriate for public service? There are quite a few of those. So Jim Webb didn't know about a pet pork project of George Felix Allen's? Oh well. I hadn't heard of it either, and I'm a lifelong Virginian. I've spent time all over this state. Is George "California Confederate" Allen going to claim I don't know Virginia?

How is the Rotunda reconstruction going at Longwood University George? Where is Longwood? What is it known for?

Or how about this? What buildings were damaged in the fire at VCU in 2002? Were any students hurt?

Finally Mr. Allen, could you please explain to me why our vaunted Senator, so adept at bringing the pork home that he remembers Craney Island miraculously in a debate--why exactly didn't you fight to maintain an appropriate level of anti-terror funding in Northern Virginia, where suicidal idiots with bombs already succeeded in the murder of hundreds of American citizens? If you're so concerned about Virginia, why did you allow that anti-terror funding to be cut? Your party is in power, so you can't claim it wasn't possible.

It's just that you couldn't see how Northern Virginia was going to fit into your re-election plans. Well, Mr. Allen, I want a Senator who cares about all of Virginia. Not one who only cares about Republican strongholds.

I know I know!!!

What is the Hibbs Building?

YES...300 Points for ME!!

That was the moment, that I truly knew, VCU was the stingiest school in all the land.  B/C they opened the place right back up, and we had classes there, even though it smelled of smoke and asbestos.
