Hello Everyone:

Please see the article below titled "Va. senator tops in GOP 'Insider' poll" dated July 24, 2006 (in the link).

George Allen's 2008 Presidential aspirations are key to the 2006 Virginia Senate race and debate!

Jim Webb should be constantly saying something like "George Allen will not commit to serving out his term if he is wins, he clearly wants to run for President, and I can do much more for the people of Virginia as a full time Senator if I am elected than George Allen can do as a very part time Senator if he is re-elected."

"Also, if George Allen runs for President and wins, then Democratic Governor Tim Kaine will get to fill his vacated Senate seat with a Democrat who would not agree with much of what George Allen is running on now so why is he even running for the Senate now when he does not want the job instead of letting another Republican run who wants the job and who will commit to serving out their full term?"

Just look at all of the big name and top GOP Neocons who have endorsed or are supporting George Allen for President in 2008:

This issue will get the attention of many people if it is brought up constantly and repeatedly to the public and in the media!

Listen to Gen. Wes Clark fight for Dems on Sean Hannity's radio program:

An excellent example for all of us to follow and what we all need to be doing to help fight against extreme right wing Neocon smear propaganda which will help our local candidates to win their races!

Va. senator tops in GOP 'Insider' poll

PORTSMOUTH -- U.S. Sen. George Allen of Virginia came out on top in a N.H. Insider poll that asked people whom they would vote for if the 2008 Republican presidential primary were held now.

The poll took place between June 8-13, and targeted N.H. Republican insiders, activists and leaders via e-mail, said Stephen DeMaura, founder of the N.H. Insider Web site.

"That's where a majority of those responses are from," DeMaura said of the poll results.

Five hundred and two votes were cast. Computer software automatically calculated percentages, and each vote was added to the tally.

Allen claimed the highest number of votes with 16 percent.

Bill Bozin, spokesman for George Allen, said, "The sentiments are greatly appreciated, but Sen. Allen is focused on his re-election in Virginia."

Former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani came in second with 13 percent, and Mass. Gov. Mitt Romney was third with 12 percent of the vote.

Sen. Chuck Hagel of Nebraska and Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist of Tennessee both received a 2 percent of the vote.

"Right now, Bill Frist is focused on the '06 elections and keeping the majority," said Carolyn Weyforth, spokeswoman for the senator.

Weyforth said Frist has not yet made any definitive plans for 2008.

"There is not (a margin of error) because it's not a scientific poll," DeMaura said, "but we see it as a good representation of activist thought in New Hampshire."

DeMaura said the poll reflects the amount of time candidates have spent in the state talking with people. The idea behind the poll was to get an impression of what Republicans are thinking in terms of the 2008 presidential primary.

According to its Web site, N.H. Insider began in January 2005 to provide "extensive and all-inclusive" news to those interested in state politics.

RE: The numbers . . . (JPTERP - 7/26/2006 1:36:35 AM)
are a testament to just how much time George Allen (R-Crony Island) has spent in New Hampshire over the past few months.  So much for the interests of Virginians.
