Programming note:  Congressman Jim Moran is scheduled to live blog at 7 PM over at Daily Kos.  The main subject will be Jim Webb vs. George Allen, including George Allen's inconsistent stand on stem cells, his indefensible stand on Iraq, his 97% blind support for George W. Why the Dem Party is Superior to the GOP (PM - 7/23/2006 1:55:16 PM)
Jim Moran is the type of Congressman I like because he doesn't always agree with his own party.  Moran is more of a free trader than many on this site would like.  He has an economics background, and likely a different perspective.  (I'm not saying necessarily a superior perspective.)  He has his own views on the Middle East.  The current GOP is intolerant of dissent both from within and without.  Jim Moran thinks about issues.  Some snipers may try to play up such differences -- I've always thought reasoned dissent was an asset.
