In Connecticut, Another Poll Shows Lamont Ahead
A new Rasmussen Reports poll shows Ned Lamont (D) beating Sen. Joe Lieberman (D-CT) in the primary, 51% to 41%.

Here's the stunning finding: In the general election, Lieberman and Lamont are tied with 40% with Alan Schlesinger (R) trailing behind with 13%.

[UPDATE by Lowell: Rasmussen now has Lamont up 51%-40% over Lieberman in the Democratic primary, and tied 40%-40% in the General Election.  In just over a month, Lamont has surged from 6 down to 11 up in the primary, a swing of 17 points.  In the general, Lamont's gone from 15 down to even, a swing of 15 points.  Amazing.]

Yeah... SHOOT! (thegools - 7/22/2006 10:49:53 PM)
I think Lamont will do it.

I really hope that Lamont Wins (pitin - 7/23/2006 10:48:36 PM)
if for nothing else, to show that incumbency is no longer a shield and does not guarantee re-election.  Even in a primary.  Elected officials will once again be held accountable by voters.
