Newts and Toads: One Should Crawl Back on His Rock

Newt Gingrich never really went away.  But he pretended to so he could lay the foundation for a belligerant reentry.  Active in Neocon "think" tanks, and the Defense Policy Board, he's been there stoking necon hegemony all along.  He, William Kristol, Paul Wolfowitz and Richard Perle have made a mess of things in Iraq and they are doing it again.  This time, though, much more is at stake.

Newt has declared, and his echo chamber (Sean Hannity, Bill O'Reilly, et al) have ditto-headed, that we are in World War III.  The president, he thinks, had better begin acting like it.  What this really means is the "(p)resident" should kick into dictator mode (I am the "Decider") once again.  That way fewer will question Newt's unbelievable over-reaction to current events, which, even now, can be turned around.

Newt's plan for us is all war all the time; ideological Necon conservatism installed all over the Middle East.  He dreams of disappeared civil liberties; the appropriation of public schools, infrastructure, the assets of the Social Security system; the dissolution of the Medicare system -- all for the benefit of his corporate buddies and the disadvantage of American citizens.  What he calls "democracy is a shill game.  It's "Democracy" for corporations and the rich; authoritarian control for everyone else.

Bush just seems to have momentarily forgotten.  Newt won't stop reminding him until the Middle East has been redrawn.  AND, Newt thinks he'll be doing it from the White House after 2008.  That's right.  Newt Gingrich, the same "family" man of the House, who served his wife with divorce papers while she recuiperated in hospital from a mastechtomy, has a new song and dance.  This time he means to disrupt everyone and every thing to advance himself and his Necon Machiavellians.

Most Americans support the right of Israel to exist.  I  certainly do.  However, what we have in the current unrest in the Middle East is profound exaggeration, hysteria, the engineering of a pretext by the Neocons, and fanning the flames by a combination of the ideological authoritarians and the rapture-driven.

It's time Americans "just say No" to the Newt.  He's screwed things up enough already

I actually agree with Newt on some of his attitudes towards fiscal policy, but on foreign policy the man clearly is delusional.

Keep in mind this is the same guy who wrote a romance novel set during World War II.

Honestly, these clowns need to enlist.  After Iraq none of them have any credibility on foreign policy matters.  If these guys spent some time in harms way I might view their hawkishness a little more generously.
