OK, I think you all have made your point.

So, the primary is over, and James Webb won.  It should come as no surprise to any of the readers here that most of the readers of this blog were beyond thrilled with the outcome of the Democratic primary election for US Senate here in VA.  But now, we get to deal with the "blogger aftermath," otherwise known as G. Felix Allen supporters without a blog to call home.  And I for one say, welcome, and bring it; but follow the rules of this DEMOCRATIC and PROGRESSIVE blog.

Follow me...(no ph today-this is a serious diary)
Again, most of us welcome you all, some of us begrudgingly, but nonetheless, you are welcome.  It's been amusing watching as the few angry Republican bloggers create one or two new usernames a day, and it's been kind of funny watching as the comments get more heated and more OFF TOPIC.  But I will tell you something, and I want you to know that I am being sincere-you all have it very good here at Raising Kaine, in fact; I CHALLENGE you all to head on over to a larger Dem blog (like Daily Kos) to see for yourselves just how the Republicans with fingers, minds, and mouths like SOME REPUBLICANS here have are treated.  They are usually troll rated out of existence and most likely booted off of the site within moments of each insulting, degrading, and many times UNINFORMED comment and/or diary.  So yes; while you may be in the minority here, and while you may stare in disbelief as you get 8 troll ratings in a row for a "brilliant comment," well, unfortuantely you are just going to have to deal with it.  Because you know what?  I have had to deal with your lousy, crappy control of the government for over 6 years.  I'm certainly not going to feel sorry for you that someone called you out for not relying on reality and fact, and I am not going to care if your comments disappear because they were insulting to a member on this site.  Too bad; tough.  That's how it goes.  As your party likes to say, Love it or leave it, if you don't like it you can get out, etc., etc.  You don't have to post here; the freepers and the red staters would love to have you because their membership numbers are very low.

Now, we all need to agree to work on a couple of things TOGETHER as a TEAM (yes, I am talking to all members) so let's get a few things straight.

1.  No name calling.  Period.  YES-we are all (well, most, or some) guilty of it.  But, the point is, it's not looked upon very highly by anyone who frequents this board, or by someone who may be dropping by for the first time.  You can get your point across without calling someone a "disgraceful piece of trash."  You're not children, so don't try to "use your words."  USE FACTS.  (translation: if someone pisses you off with an inane comment, just fight back with more factual evidence and reality based arguments; DON'T TAKE THE BAIT.  Emotions are running high bc the Republicans are just mad and worried that they are going to lose the House in November.)

2.  Troll rating is not to be used simply bc you disagree with someone, troll ratings are to be used to CALL OUT TROLLS ON THEIR TROLLISH BEHAVIOR.  Unfortunately, for the Republicans on this site, some people tend to see a Republican as a troll.  I guess you are going to have to live with that.  But remember my fellow Democratic RKers...WE are striving to be the bigger people here, so try to think about maybe giving someone a chance to present their views in a rational and EDUCATED way at times.

3.  Remember that trick when that kid in grade school was mean to you?  The trick where you simply ignored someone who was bugging you?  Well, maybe if someone is bugging you here and you have tried to use your FACTS to dissuade them and show them the truth and the real way of Democracy and you are getting nowhere, just ignore them.  You certainly aren't going to win over the angry Republican bloggers on RK.  They are here to start fights, pick nits, and generally get a rise out of people.  So, let them eat cake.  It doesn't really matter, and we have so much other crap to worry about, like what we are planning on wearing to Webb's victory party in November.

That's it.  Feel free to add on to the list, and feel free to ignore me if you so choose.  I'm just thinking that at this point, the more we try to get our message out to those that actually care to have an answer, the better off we will be.

And just keep this in mind as you move along...
