I am not a frontpager

I have had exactly 3 of my diaries promoted to the front page in 2.5 years, and one of those was the announcement of the Yearlykos education panel, and hence really wasn't about me

Some of my diaries simply die -- I am not a Jerome or a PastorDan whose every diary immediately shoots to the recommended list, nor a former frontpager like Meteor Blades or Hunter or Kid Oakland.  These are megastars, and rightly so.

Some of my stuff is valued by the community, and thus makes it to the recommended list.  Other things do not.  If you wnet to my user page you would see that there is no consistent pattern.

So thanks for the compliment, but it is misplaced.

And rightfully so; it's one of your best.  You give people  more than something to navel gaze about.  I was going to answer this comment last night, went to DK and was pleasantly sidetracked by Meteor Blades doing the Carnacki fill in.

Never mind megastar - it's a loaded word choice I suppose.

I don't know every Va diarist on DK, but thought it unusual that 3 of you were there simultaneously.
