We signed up for the Allen E-mailers just to see what the other side is doing and here it is..

Dear David & Cathryn,

As we approach the Fourth of July holiday weekend we are mindful that the United States Senate was just one vote short of the two-thirds necessary to pass the Flag Protection Amendment this week.

This vote and so many others cast in the Senate remind us that elections and who wins them matter a great deal.  The contrasts between Senator George Allen and his opponent, Hollywood movie producer James H. Webb, Jr., were certainly on display this past week as Webb took the side of Senators John Kerry, Ted Kennedy and Charles Schumer in opposing the Flag Protection Amendment.

Senator Allen stood with a clear majority of Virginians by voting for the amendment.

Now I hope you will stand with Senator Allen against Howard Dean, John Kerry and Chuck Schumer as they work to carry out their public pledge to defeat George Allen.

Today is the day we hit our most crucial deadline of 2006 -- the June 30th FEC fundraising report deadline -- Senator Allen needs you to stand up and defend him officially.

Please click here now to support George Allen+óGé¼Gäós campaign by making a financial contribution.

Liberal Democrat leaders like Howard Dean and Chuck Schumer desperately want to be able to tell their millionaire donors that this race is winnable -- that a liberal can win in Virginia -- so they will send money to James H. Webb, Jr.

We can throw cold water on their plans by filing the strongest fundraising report possible...if you click here and make a contribution of $1,000, $500, $250, $100, $50 or $30 today.

Hollywood movie producer James H. Webb, Jr.'s campaign was born vacillating out of fear of taking a clear stand on the issues.  Now Hollywood Jim is determined to demagogue the issues because he's on the wrong side of Virginians and he knows it.

Send a contribution today to support Senator Allen's strong stands on the issues Virginians care about and against Hollywood Jim's demagoguery.

Have a safe and enjoyable Holiday.
