Ban Lewis

This guy is sick.  He's taking over the threads and is almost as bad as "Pitin".
I hope RK will ban him.

Here's a thought (Josh - 6/27/2006 4:02:13 PM)
How about we create special threads just for Lewis and Pitin to spew incoherent babble at eachother.

We're nothing if not accomodating.

ha. (not gretchen bulova - 6/27/2006 4:03:14 PM)
If you ignore people they go away quicker.  If you don't like Lewis ignore him.

I missed the daily (PaulVa - 6/27/2006 4:05:26 PM)
rubbernecking this morning.  So I had him to make up for the obligatory catastrophic car crash.

Thanks NGB....I guess. (Lewis Armistead - 6/27/2006 5:29:08 PM)
Bottom line to all who read this...and this is the truth.  I'm not a Miller supporter.  I'm not employed by RPV or any political campaign whatsoever.

I'm no longer active politically...and I do not speak for any campaign.

But, I've been around.  And, as Lowell can probably surmise, I know my way around the commonwealth--politically...or otherwise.

So, that just might keep a few of you guessing just who the hell I am.

So Ben (pitin - 6/27/2006 5:38:13 PM)
What comment of mine specifically did you not like, because the only ones I can think of, were the ones when I responded to your personal attacks on me.

And if I recall, those attacks were for working for a Democrat (Dave Marsden), when you supported his Republican opponent (Michael Golden).  We (D's) won, so what exactly,

is your problem with me?  Because I would love to have you expand on it more then, "you work for winning Democrats".

(or would you have prefered that VA-41 stayed Red?)

You can go to (pitin - 6/27/2006 6:07:01 PM)
The Fairfax County Young Democrats club

And see me listed under the Exec Committee as a "Blog Reporter"

You can go to my personal Act Blue page www.actblue.com/page/ndelapiedra (were $500 has been raised, most of it my personal loot).

need more?

Ben, where is Pitin's offence? (JennyE - 6/27/2006 6:27:18 PM)
He is clearly not a troll. You've your disagreements with him. Fine. But he is a productive commenter.

Lewis, on the the other hand, is bordering on troll status. H has completely hijacked some threads.

Hold on a sec... (Eric - 6/27/2006 4:31:36 PM)
Ben, weren't you in favor of leaving troublemakers like TPP alone?

Do you have info on these other two that makes them substantially different than our Miller trolls?  Maybe I missed something, but as far as I can tell they're acting in much the same manner.

Waitaminit... (Josh - 6/27/2006 4:41:51 PM)
What's pitin's crime?  I haven't actually seen him be anything but courteous.

Is he a Marsden supporter?

I worked for Marsden... (pitin - 6/27/2006 5:39:01 PM)
My only crime was helping turn a 32 year Republican seat into a Democratic stronghold, imagine that.

GET OUT OF MY HEAD, BEN! (phriendlyjaime - 6/27/2006 4:43:07 PM)
Stop having the same thoughts as me, dammit.  ;)

When it comes to trolls (Eric - 6/27/2006 4:53:54 PM)
I'm pretty much color blind - I don't see Blue or Red.  The real issue to me is how annoying and distracting they are.  It's not worth the free speech fight we always get into everytime the word ban comes up unless they're are really bad.

Lewis is quickly headed in that direction.

Pitin?  I kinda agree with Josh.  I'm not seeing his/her transgressions.  Do you have any specific comments/posts that set off the alarm?

RE: Agreed (JPTERP - 6/27/2006 11:41:00 PM)
I thought the post a while back regarding DanG's disillusioned sister was insensitve, but not inappropriate.  We need contrarian viewpoints like this in order to keep RK from becoming an echo chamber.

Unlike TPP (Thomas Paine Patriot), I don't see Lewis regurgitating the same points ad naseum.  He also hasn't hijacked a famous writer's name and then argued positions that are inconsistent with the philosophy of the writer.

I see Lewis as taking stands that are intended to provoke--and definitely contrarian--but in and of themselves they aren't unproductive or completely over the line.

Also unlike Thomas Paine Patriot, I don't see Lewis's arguments as being provocations purely for the sake of provocation.

At least they were for a Democratic member (phriendlyjaime - 6/27/2006 4:40:07 PM)
I don't know much about Pitin, just that he uses myspace, which makes me violently ill, but Lewis is just hilarious.  Just trying to get a rise.  Personally, while I am not sure about banning them, I wish Lowell would make it so only trusted users could rate comments.

Oh, and Ben, I still love you.

They Add Nothing; Even Their Insults Are Crappy (PM - 6/27/2006 4:39:13 PM)
Besides I've figured out who Lewis is.  Wears cowboy boots atop a motorcycle?  It's got to be that guy with the original Village People.

Pitin says above he is a Democrat (Ben - 6/27/2006 6:12:53 PM)
I'm willing to take him at his word and withdrawl my call to ban him.

However, I want to keep a close eye on this situation.  Did Pitin help Marsden work the polls for Cuccinelli in 2003?

Either way, I think we should put Pitin's past behind us and welcome him to the Democratic party.

Ben, thank you for letting me in the party (pitin - 6/27/2006 6:19:31 PM)
All sarcasim aside, let's just move on.

To answer your question, no I did not help Marsden help Cuccinelli in '03, I met and worked for him in '05.  I was recruited to his campaign by former '04 Dean campaign staffers who assured me that Marsden was a real D.

Thanks for the reply (Ben - 6/27/2006 10:38:07 PM)
Welcome to the party.

Keep Lewis posting a little longer (Bubby - 6/27/2006 7:43:02 PM)
I almost have him triangulated and resources are allocated and ready.  All personnel are reminded that these crank hooches frequently contain unstable and hazardous materials.

Bullshit (PM - 6/27/2006 10:06:49 PM)
"If I provoke, it's because I want to challenge you to defend your positions."

All I've seen is someone with a lot of unresolved anger positions, lashing out rather incoherently at times. GET PROFESSIONAL HELP.

Keep Pitin, ban Lewis (Josh - 6/27/2006 11:27:15 PM)
We've got work to do.

Sounds like a plan. (Lowell - 6/27/2006 11:28:45 PM)
