Culpeper's paper has an interesting interview with Jim Nachman - the Dem nominee against Eric "Abramoff's sandwich" Cantor.  Here's an excerpt where Nachman challenges Cantor on energy:

+óGé¼+ôThis really kills me,+óGé¼-¥ Nachman said. +óGé¼+ô(Cantor+óGé¼Gäós) been in Congress for four years. Has he put in any legislation to reduce our dependency on foreign oil? Has he come up with one bill or one idea about how we can conserve energy or how we can come up with alternative sources of energy?

+óGé¼+ôIf I+óGé¼Gäóm elected. You are going to see bills that are going to reduce our dependence on oil. His idea of energy conservation policy is buying a hybrid and I congratulate him, but not everybody has $30,000 to buy a Toyota Prius. Sorry, Eric.+óGé¼-¥

Cantor is in a GOP stronghold, so Jim has a tough road ahead of him.  Regardless, the Democratic party just had to run against a GOP representative so embroiled in convicted felon Jack Abramoff's money machine that Jack named a deli sandwich after that representative

You never know where these entrenched Republicans might end up.
